Featured Replies

*** SALE PENDING

Item: AUDEZE LCD 2 HEADPHONES WITH ISSUE SEE BELOW.

Location: VIC 3054 CARLTON NORTH

Price: $500.00

Item Condition: MINT HOWEVER.... Full story, full disclosure etc below

Reason for selling: See below. I hate these headphones.

Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only. I don't mind posting, buyer to pay postage.

Extra Info:

There is a problem with this headphone - the left channel cuts out intermittently. It is so sporadic that Addicted To Audio have been unable to replicate it after 2 weeks of testing. I had the drivers replaced by them a few months ago, and shortly afterwards while gaming, the left ear cut out. I didn't think it to be the headphones though, maybe a dodgy cable? Audio drivers? Anything but the headphone. I put them up for sale here, and boxed them up. Later listed them for sale on Ebay, and thought I had better give them a bit of testing just in case, before finally selling. I ran them for about 8 hours from my Burson amp, and nothing happened. I then connected them to my Denon integrated with the custom cable and ran for many hours - no problems, until I picked them up and the left ear cut out.

I then ran them for a while with the stock cable and it cut out again. So now I know that there is definitely something wrong because it's happened with 2 cables on 2 systems.

I took them straight to Addicted to Audio, and was contacted yesterday with the news that they can't find any problems with the headphones.

Condition wise these cans present as new and come with all accessories and paperwork. About 2.5 years warranty remaining with Addicted to Audio who replaced the drivers with the latest revision 3.0 fazor driver 6 months ago, and cannot find any fault with them.

At this point, I just want to see the back of them. I hate them. I've poured more money into them than I care to think about, and I want to cut my losses and move on to something with a bit of reputation and history behind it.

Maybe you will get lucky and never have a problem with them. For this price it may well be worth putting up with if it happens, which is very rare. If it does happen again, you can take them back to A2A under warranty and hope they can fix them.

Once sold, I never want to hear about them again. The warranty is transferable, but I offer no assistance at all once they leave my hands.

Pictures: these are the pictures I took for the original sale thread. Please note that the following pictured items are NOT INCLUDED: Audeze Carbon Fiber headband, Omega headphone stand, Q Cable. This sale is for the headphones and spare pads only. Headphones have all original accessories and paperwork.

If the drivers have been replaced, why would there still be playing up and why couldn't addicted to audio figure out what the problem is? If they are still under warranty, why can't addicted to audio send them back to Audeze and get them fixed under the warranty? Have you contacted Audeze directly? In my experience Audeze is great in customer service.
