catman Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 G'day all, in a sign that I am probably getting a bit lazy in my old age, today I've determined that my electronic tracking weight gauge has an error of about .5 gram and maybe a bit higher! Zero grams measures .5 gram on the display! Maybe the device needs new batteries. Well in the meantime it's back to my Ortofon balance that despite its simplicity, is reliable and accurate. Regards, Felix.
mloutfie Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 It just need calibration. Normally it comes with a calibration weight in the box 1

Well in the meantime it's back to my Ortofon balance that despite its simplicity, is reliable and accurate. How do you know it's accurate - ie. what have you measured it against? 21 hours ago, mloutfie said: It just need calibration. Normally it comes with a calibration weight in the box Xackly! Andy

catman Posted May 9, 2017 Author Posted May 9, 2017 G'day, I've just got around to trying the effect of the 'tare' button to 'zero' it, and it works ok. Many thanks all, I've learned something! Regards, Felix. 2
