Loved the Sydney concert back when I was a teenager

Just had a look at the collection and I am missing the Muscle Of Love album

Now I need to replace it - if anyone has any Alice Cooper albums PM me

Starting with the Third album but the first hit album

Artist - Alice Cooper

Title - Love It to Death

As a fan I can only say brilliant ;) what else

Hope I am keeping you all entertained with my record collection spinning sessions

Tonight a small treat by a Dutch prog rock band from the 70s

A double LP and the 3rd Studio album released 1972

I particularly like the Track - Sylvia Side 1 Track 3

Artist - Focus

Title - Focus 3

ID - EME. 1013 Distributed by EMI in Australia

I am having issues finding my release on Discogs

But other markings on the disk correspond to the Netherlands release ?

I am glad someone else knows about Leo Kottke

He has a finger picking style that others admire

From memory he is rated as one of the top 10 in the world

Anyone living through the 70s and 80s had to have had Neil Young as a favourite artist

I myself was a roadie for my best friends band -  he was the drummer and the best man at my wedding also his wife and my wife are cousins

Yes we are still best buddies to this day

The band specialised in playing sets with Crosby Stills Nash -  Neil Young and James Taylor songs

That and the fact that I lived in a beach town was very influential in my music listening choice

This has to be a generational classic album

Artist - Neil Young

Title - On The Beach

And although is not on this album - my favourite song is Alabama ( it's to do with a girl I fell for ;) )

I was given this album by an acquaintance and this is the first time I have played it

Don't know much about the artist but it is a soundtrack ( I think ? going by the title )

Artist - Terence Trent D'Arby

Title - Neither Fish Nor Flesh: A Soundtrack Of Love, Faith, Hope And Destruction

The scull and crossbones on the record label hooked me to give it a spin

This American band from San Fransisco only released 2 albums before disbanding

The style is prog rock with an outer space feel all blended with Jazz Fussion others describe the style as Art rock

Artist - Automatic Man

Title - Self Titled circa 1976

This version in my ownership is the Embosed cover

Re the Terence Trent D'Arby - had a few top ten hits in Oz.  Something of a 'poor mans Prince' in many ways, but also could be viewed as ' intelligent mans' Lenny Kravitz' .

A multi instrumentalist, producer, fantastic voice.  Best tune was ' Sign Your Name (Across my Heart)' which was everything he did well in one tune.

The album is not a soundtrack. Still sounds excellent after all these years.

AUTOMATIC MAN was Michael Shrieves' post SANTANA wasn't it. Quite good music, but it was a little too much clever musianship for the rock crowd, and a little too loud for the fusionists. Hence, did not last to long.

Thanks for the info Zen

After listening to the album it had a feel of commercialism

Some tracks sounded like they could be from TV commercials

Could be me thinking that because of to much prog in my life ?
