Green Wagon Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Time to put the woof back in his box. Does that make me a vet ?????? I really seriously do love a good quick clean easy repair...... Came in no go. red power light just flashes. Normally plate amps are not worth touching. This unit has a much nicer system that was, well, not so much a joy, but certainly a doodle to work on... Did all the normal tests. Burnt bits no. Bad joints no. Outputs and driver transistors fine. Speaker fine, Power supply fine. Voltages fine. Scratches head. Check output before protection relay for DC or other issues, Meter probes hit the relay pins, Click, Starts working. Then stops, Then starts. Etc.. . . . . Unplug board. I'll do a resolder. All looks ok, but I just have this hunch... Yup. As I resolder, I hit the odd joint where the solder ran away from the component legs. Hm, ok, leaching. Full resolder, works like a bought one........................

I had the same problem, but here it was a Cap in the "delay timer" that was bad (47uF 16v). I testede the Cap and it was 35uF so the 12v DC was only 10 V DC and not clean, and that's why the relay woundn't work.
