we are going to some Bowie show at Festival Theatre on the Wednesday beforehand (23 June).  Don't know if it is the same or a different show,  My wife has booked it.

ps  The band that does Steely Dan tributes is doing a Toto tribute plus more, Sunday week in the afternoon at the Norwood Hotel function centre on Osmond tce.  The band is really good, 10 piece or bigger.  We might be there.  (I think the band is 'Supernova').

Wow, the Festival Theatre show is a different one - a German performer doing a show called Starman, a Bowie tribute.

So, combined with Bowie Unzipped (Jeff Duff) which is on tonight at The Governor Hindmarsh, that makes it THREE Bowie tributes in Adelaide during May and June!  :thumb:  :thumb:  :thumb:

Hi Benje,

David Bowie look-alike? If he can sing he could make a profit out of that!  :P

Bowie Unzipped was quite good, great musicians and Jeff Duff is entertaining plus has a great voice.

A 2 hour plus show was excellent value, all the usual hits and even a couple of unexpected songs - Moonage Daydream, Lazarus (from the final Blackstar album) and a Bowie song written for Mott the Hoople - All the young Dudes.

And of course...lots of singing along by a very enthusiastic crowd  :party

not sure if he can sing or not.  Could do a Milli Vanilli version of course.

(Milli Vanilli were a band circa 1991, who never actually sang their vocals - lip synced everything.  So it was discovered eventually).
