  3. Item: PIONEER PL-71 Turntable Location: Brisbane (Prefer Pick Up) Price: $700 Item Condition: 7/10 Reason for selling: Gathering Dust Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal (+2.6%), EFT Extra Info: Nice example of top line fully manual Pioneer turntable 1970's beast, it's rather large and heavy. It's in good working order and includes the original Pioneer headshell, the Ortofon 2M Bronze cartridge and headshell is included, has been well used estimate 700-800 hours but still sounds great and looks clean under magnification. The lid is great for its age and a polish up would give it a new lease on life. Some points to note: The lid has a crack at the rear right hand hinge (Aesthetic problem only see photo), The walnut plinth has a chip on the front right hand side corner (see photo), the tonearm rest clasp holder had broken and has been glued back in to place - has been like this for several years now and not been a problem, The cue lever seems to lower faster than usual may need some attention. Overall it's in good condition and works well. Prefer local pick up, or I can assist with drop off to a pack and send if you require packing and postage for delivery. Cheers Pictures:
  4. I’m selling a lovely vintage Pioneer SA-8500 MK-II Stereo Amplifier. Made in Japan 240v model Dual transformer design - The sound signature is typical Pioneer of the period sporting a wonderful analogue experience Specifications below thanks to www.hifiengine.com Power output: 60 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo) Dimensions: 420 x 150 x 376mm Weight: 13.9kg The amplifier works as it should on both channels and on all inputs - bias is set to factory spec and the amp has had all its electrolytic capacitors replaced excluding the original power supply capacitors. All controls have been cleaned for smooth and quiet operation. Original NEC output transistors in place. Presented in very good cosmetic condition with minor imperfections in line with its age - the lid has some surface rust and serial number engraved I was going to get this powder coated but opted to keep original to let the new owner decide to leave it or have it repainted to their desired colour. Overall presents very nice but most importantly sounds wonderful. Melbourne pick up only due to the size and weight of this amp A donation will made to stereo net post the sale

  6. Item: Pair of Gale 301's with stands, all Black Location: Melbourne, 3103 Price: $350 Item Condition: Good for there age Reason for selling: NLR Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Have been using these as a rear channel for the last 2 years bi-wired, Boxed for nearly 10 prior to that . In good working order brought these back from the UK years ago. The stands are a Heybrook type and suit a HB1, complete with adjustable isolation spikes . There are some marks on the veneer cabinets but veneer was thicker in the days when these were built. The steel grills are all good. No original packaging. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  7. Item: JBL L100 Speakers Location: Ballarat, Victoria Price: $1000 now $950 Item Condition: Very good Reason for selling: Want to try something different Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Bank Transfer Extra Info: Up for sale is a wonderful pair of L100's, rare in this condition. As far as I'm aware, I'm only their third owner from new. I purchased these about nine months ago off Gumtree, from a collector of vintage hifi. The cabinets and veneer are free of the major dings and scratches you might expect. There are of course a couple of minor dings but these can't be seen from more than a couple of metres away. Additionally, the foam rings surrounding the tweeters have been replaced and the blue grilles are new replicas, sourced from the US. In the interest of full disclosure, a couple of points. There is a slight 'yellowing' on part of one of the white bass drivers. This doesn't affect it's performance and, again, it's only significant up close. Also, the model number plates on the front of each speaker need a little bit of glue; both are coming off at one edge. Due to size and weight pickup is strongly preferred; however if the buyer so arranges I an drop these at my local Pack and Send. Please forgive the picture quality; my camera's getting fixed so I only have the iPhone. Pictures:
