Hi guys, I have a hand built record cabinet which i like very much.I don't have a huge collection buts it a valuable one to me(i only keep vinyl that i like and play-if i don't play it,its gone!) It has a divider every 4 to 5 inches to stop too much wait being left on groups of LPs to stop ring wear etc.We all know if you have 150 records leaning up against each other,wear will show somewhere(even if you put LP outside of sleeve like i do)....that's a lot of weight! The only down side to this cabinet is that the dividers take up a lot of space but they are a necessity to keep vinyl and sleeve/inner sleevs in top shape for many years to come......basically it has a divider every 10 records. What do you guys think would/should be the minimum distance for a wait divider to distribute the weight? I think it would be good to sticky this subject to have all these storage questions in one place for further future reference IMHO.

I've got a few of these funky Audiosonic Record Library LP holders that I collected over the years. They are pretty handy for storing LPs. All are in VGC with maybe a few scratches (hey, they were popular in the 70s and we've all acquired a few scratches since then!). These are getting pretty hard to come by. I think even the Salvos are asking $20+ each now, when you can find them. Further information: I thought I would offer this here as the Hifi unit has a roll-out turntable shelf, there's loads of equipment and media storage space, and a couple of shelves have cable ducts, so it might interest an SNA'er for a family room, mancave or garage, etc. The location of the shelves in the bottom cabinets is currently set for LPs to be stored on the bottom shelves. It's a 3-piece 1970s or early 80s Chiswell Wall Unit Suite with Entertainment Units and Buffet. In good condition with a few small scratches and marks from general usage. Photos show examples of this. Many of the shelves are adjustable with a simple robust shelf support system using metal brackets. These are quite solid units and the buffet has 2 glass shelves & internal lighting. All units have adjustable feet for levelling. Dimensions. Height: 208cm. Depth: 42cm. Width: 2x 89cm & 1x 71cm Total width of all 3 units with the spacing pieces is 253cm. Given the size of these units, pickup is obviously the preferred option. However, depending on your location, I may be able to deliver for a small fee to cover time & fuel, but would appreciate the help of an able-bodied person at the receiving end. The shelf is 185cm tall, 118cm wide and 18cm deep. I also have 2 matching DVD cabinets of the same size! Please note, this is for local pickup or organising your own courier only.
