The sound quality of this combination easily matches my Chord 2Qute and Audiophilleo, and in some cases bests them, providing more air around instruments, making recordings more lush and open. This is the LEVEL 2 “Rise Ji edition” which has the Jensen Cap PSU upgrades with four Jensen 4700 microfarad / 63 Volts added for ultimate power filtration and improved sound quality. This DAC is quite unique in that it uses Patented R2R technology. Basically this is the first discrete DAC that has dual R2R network for PCM, and Dual Discrete optimised resistor network for DSD! So you get the best of both worlds regardless of your signal type. Holo Audio is the world’s first to support DSD natively on Resistor Ladder DAC. This is not the DSD converted to PCM before digital-analog converter, but converted directly by the discrete components of the DSD digital to analog converter. Supported currently on MAC (DOP)and Linux (DOP), and Windows/PC (Direct Native and DOP). Paired up with the Singxer SU-1. The SingXer SU-1 was purchased new by me in May 2017 for $USD 365 and is in great condition. Further information: This is a great amplifier, it has quite a wide soundstage with a pleasant, slightly warm timbre devoid of any sharpness, harshness or glare. It's a fairly laid back sounding amp while still retaining great microdetail; it also does this without rolling off the edges of the transients too much like some other amps do in order to achieve their warm and laid back sound. The background is incredibly black and lends to the clarity and macrodetail this amp is capable of. If you're a fan of sensitive headphones and IEMs and need a desktop unit to drive them, this is also an awesome amplifier for that and sounds great driving sensitive headphones and IEMs too with absolutely no audible noise floor. As per the pictures - this amplifier is in near perfect condition and will come with the original box and packaging. There is only the tiniest scratch in the back right corner, which you may have difficulty even seeing in the fifth picture of this listing.
