  4. Further information: This superb player has only had about 25 albums running through it since I purchase new from Eastwood HIFI in Sydney on 14/11/2020. RRP: $3200 As I have been working from home, I tend to use my headphone setup with Roon and connected to a Universal disc player too. I need funds for speaker purchase looming. I don't have the box , but it comes with the two sets of side panels / cheeks. The black gloss are fitted, the cherry are boxed , however. I would really expect local pickup in Sydney as this is simply too hard to ship and so heavy @ 15.6kg. https://au.yamaha.com/en/products/audio_visual/hifi/cd-s2100/index.html Photos: PLEASE READ If you include any reference to pricing whatsoever in this section (excluding RRP), your ad will not be approved If you are advertising multiple items, you must post one bulk price only, or post seperate ads for each item If you don't include photographs of the actual item being sold, your ad will not be approved You understand that upon successful sale of your item it is expected you pay Seller's Fees. - if you have previously sold items and not made a contribution, your advertisement may not be approved.

  6. Item: Yamaha CD-S2100 SACD Player/DAC and A-S2100 Integrated Amplifier (Light Wood Finish) Location: Sydney Price: $1,950 for the CD-S2100 SACD Player / DAC $2,100 for the A-S2100 Integrated Amplifier Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: I want to try something else Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I am selling my CD-S and A-S2100 setup. Both these components are excellent in their own right. The CD-S2100 is both a very good SACD player and a standalone DAC. It takes Coax, Toslink and USB, where Yamaha has its own proprietary USB interface which I can’t fault, and as a standalone DAC its implementation is done really well. The A-S2100 amp has a lot of features, although the only one I use is the balanced connection. It has a full and warm sound, which is a characteristic described in many reviews. Although the wattage on the specs might seem low it does produce strong power and current. I’m driving a pair of Dynaudio Special 40’s with it, and it has really good control over the strong mids and bass Dynaudios are known for. Together the CD-S2100 & A-S2100 are a perfect match, and with the Dynaudios the sound is warm, rich, and clear. Both components are a joy to look at with precise machining and finish, and the timber sides are a really nice part of the design. For transparency, I purchased these from another member where the CD-S2100 and A-S2100 were new and factory sealed out of the box when I purchased them (see link for the ad below). The member I bought them from is the current owner of Eastwood Hifi in Sydney, which is an authorized Yamaha dealer. He got this gear as promotional collateral and he already had a good setup, so he didn’t need this equipment. I have the original invoices he gave me, where he said as extra reassurance he will also honor the warranty on both the SACD Player and Integrated Amplifier on top of the factory warranty. There is over 4 years of warranty left on both components. The condition of both the A-S2100 and CD-S2100 is perfect and looks new out of the box except for a very small mark on the edge of the side panel of the amp, however you must look very closely to see it. I'm selling these as this is one of those hobbies where the want to change things up seems to happen a lot, so I’m looking at trying something new. I’ve tried a lot of gear in the past including a setup with more than twice the (new rrp) price of this one, and the CD-S / A-S2100 combo gets very close to that. Link to previous ad: Pictures:

  8. Selling some old equipment that no longer using. Denon AVR - 3802 -Works well and would be a good amp for a basic 2 channel set-up, 5 channel SACD, or surround sound(although no HDMI). One of the old made in Japan models. Yamaha DVD - C750 - 5 * DVD / CD / SACD stacker. Plays well, and reads SACD's without an issue. The drawer sticks a little when opening, but otherwise fine. Yamaha DVD - S2300 I cant get this to work. There is a CD stuck inside, and it wont eject(eject lights up, but drawer doesnt open). When working, this is a reasonable DVD / SACD / player. Original remotes to all units included. Local pickup only.
  9. Item: Marantz SA7001 SACD player Location: Southwest Sydney Price: $250 (will donate $50 to SNA when sold) Item Condition: Should be pretty good! Reason for selling: Moving house Payment Method: Pickup - Cash only Extra Info: This player has been sitting dormant for the last 3 years. I'd not be able to test it fully as I'm equally unsure if the accompanying amplifier and speakers are working. I could test the headphone playback though, but can only do so when I'm back next Tuesday (6 Nov) (currently residing in Singapore). If you don't mind, perhaps you can drop by with a working amplifier/speakers to test? I will also try to test it when I'm back. I'd only be back in Sydney for a week, and that's why I thought I'd post it as an "EOI" now. It was playing flawlessly the last time I used it (3 years ago). I really hope it's still in the same pristine condition! Pictures:
  10. Item: Playback Designs MPS-5 SACD Player / DAC Location: NE Victoria Price: $5000 Item Condition: Very Good Reason for selling: Moving house and reduce the Hi-Fi collection Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, EFT Extra Info: I purchased the player from it original owner around 5 years ago. It has not been used very much, a year after purchasing the PBD player I picked up a DCS Puccini. The drive and the power supply have been replaced by Warwick at Pure Music Group as the drive was skipping on SACD tracks and there was a factory upgrade for the power supply. I have hardly used the player since the drive replacement as I now use a DAC and a streamer and also still have the DCS. The DAC has AES/EBU, S/PDIF, and TosLink inputs capable of receiving stereo linear PCM signals with resolutions/sample rates up to 24-bit/192kHz, as well as a direct USB connection for computers, though the latter accepts sample rates up to only 48kHz with 16-bit word lengths. I have the original packing and the remote. It could be shipped at your cost (from Albury) as I have the original boxes. The original retail on these in Australia was around $18K, certainly a very good disc spinner. The connector for the playlink is damaged (plastic connector) but this is very unlikely to be used as the USB input accessory from PBD that would use this is $2K AUD and if you want Hi-Res input from USB it is much cheaper to use a singxter or similar into the S/PDIF port. Stereophile Review Pictures: I'll grab some images in the morning to upload of the actual unit.
  11. Further information: Well looked after of an amazingly built SACD/CD player by Marantz. One owner only and used in a smoke free and child free environment. The lenses have been replaced by Qualifi Melbourne in recent years, so the player is pretty much ‘NEW’. Can arrange delivery in Melbourne. Photos: PLEASE READ If you include any reference to pricing whatsoever in this section (excluding RRP), your ad will not be approved If you are advertising multiple items, you must post one bulk price only, or post seperate ads for each item If you don't include photographs of the actual item being sold, your ad will not be approved You understand that a reasonable donation for selling fees is expected upon successful sale of your item - if you have previously sold items and not made a donation, your advertisement may not be approved.

  14. Item: Oppo BDP – 95 [Relist] Location: Springwood, NSW Price: $550 + postage Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Upgraded Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Will post Pictures: See below Having another shot at selling the Oppo here, before I march it off to eBay. Recently purchased an Oppo 105D, so my Oppo 95 is up for sale. I purchased the BDP-95 from another SNA member in 2013 for AV duties and some audio. The unit is primarily used for playing video files and some blu - rays. I also spin CD / SACDs on the Oppo, but as I play vinyl 95% of the time it’s had very little use as a disc player. The unit also has a region free mod installed, however I've never been able to get it to work and it appears to have been disabled via a firmware upgrade. The unit has never skipped a beat and is kept in a smoke and pet – free environment. For those not familiar with the Oppo 95, it is an excellent jack of all trades player, and is able to handle many formats including Blu-ray, DVD, SACD, DVD-Audio, HDCD, CD, Kodak Picture CD, DivX, DivX plus HD. These players are also lauded for their audio quality and include two ESS Sabre DAC (ES9018) 32-bit audio digital-to-analog converters with jitter reduction. I have the original packaging and can post anywhere in Australia at cost.
  15. Item:Yamaha cds-1000 Location:sydney (Hillsdale) Price: $700 + postage Item Condition:excellent Reason for selling:NLR Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, eft Extra Info: Silver and I have original box I used it rarely as records are my primary media . Differential D/A Converters The CD-S1000 uses high-grade differential D/A converters for the left and right channels, with their output assigned separately for plus and minus. Developed by drawing on Yamaha’s long experience in digital technology, they ensure the highest conversion precision, as well as outstanding S/N ratio and dynamic range. All other components, including the analogue circuitry, were carefully selected based on extensive listening tests. Comprehensive sound tuning, encompassing even the mechanisms, means that you will enjoy incredibly dynamic and powerful CD reproduction. Exclusive Yamaha Loading Mechanism with Superior Quietness and High Precision CD Drive The mechanism that picks up the signal is actually analogue, even during the digital reproduction of a CD. So its degree of precision has a surprisingly large effect on the reproduction of the digital signals and the final sound. The CD-S1000 features the Exclusive Yamaha Loading Mechanism with Superior Quietness, which uses Synchro Mesh rather than noise-producing gears, for totally silent tray movement as well as extremely high durability. The rest of the mechanism is also top quality, including a highly reliable brushless spindle motor and a diecast aluminium tray that is completely free of vibration. The thick steel and wood chassis is very heavy and stable, far superior to ordinary types made partly of plastic. Four-Part Power Supply with Independent Structure The power supply has four sections—for the audio circuitry, the digital circuitry, the drive mechanism, and the display—which are physically separated from each other and from the transformer, minimising both mutual interference that degrades sound quality and the effect on earth electric potential. The power supply for the audio circuitry is a constant current type with an independent left-right structure; it ensures a stable supply of clean power and contributes to superior channel separation. Pure Direct The CD-S1000 provides the Pure Direct circuit that is a popular feature of Yamaha amplifiers and receivers. Since it has separate analogue and digital sections, the same as a good amplifier, the designers decided to make use of Yamaha’s amplifier technology to help achieve high sound quality. When Pure Direct is on, the display is turned off and digital output shuts down, providing the highest possible analogue sound quality. Pictures: I'll put pictures up as soon as I can
