Item: Synchro - Mesh Reclocker Location: Melbourne Price: $400 plus shipping Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: NLR, can use funds for other Classifieds items Payment Method: Cash, DD Extra Info: Unit works perfect, but I have used AES/EBU now for a while and I'm staying with it, so time to find this little unit another home. I don't really know much about the specs, it's just a really nice reclocker by Steve Nugent and that is what I wanted at the time. Both Toslink and coax in. Coax in is both RCA and BNC for the 75 ohm purists. Has a 16/24 switch on it too. No dings, scratches etc, it's in really nice condition. Comes with a WW power supply as standard. I believe these units sound heaps better run from a linear supply, but I never got around to trying that. No original boxes and pickup always preferred, but I will pack it so it can be used as a footy by the OZ Post lads and still arrive perfect, where ever you are in OZ. Cheers, Red.

Item: Wyred4Sound Remedy Reclocker + Gieseler Linear Power SupplyLocation: Cleveland, QLD (4163)Price: $475 (Shipping +$15, PayPal +3%)Item Condition: Used, very good conditionReason for selling: No longer required.Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal (+3%) , Bank TransferExtra Info: Listing is for a Wyred4Sound Remedy Reclocker (purchased 20-Oct-2015) and a Gieseler Linear PSU (purchased 31-Dec-2015), original Australian printed invoices are included for both items. Used between a Sonos Connect and a Devialet 120 to great effect, reduced jitter was immediately noticable and converted the Connect into a high-performance device. Although the reviews for the Reclocker have generally been very positive, I've found that the performance jump added when using the Gieseler Linear PSU to the Reclocker took its performance into a whole new realm (a bigger jump than the reclocker itself out of the box!) , and once heard with it, couldn't recommend listening without it. I've found the performance jump gained with this combo scales well when using even better sources/dac, not just entry/mid level etc. Current RRP $870+ Review: http://www.digitalaudioreview.net/2014/08/wyred4sound-remedy-spdif-reclocker-review/ Website: https://wyred4sound.com/products/digital-converters/remedy-reclocker Reclocker Features (from website): Utilizes an incredible Femto-grade clock Superior jitter reduction Toslink and Coaxial digital inputs Toslink, Coaxial, BNC digital outputs 96kHz output sampling frequency* Digital inputs support up to 24/192kHz 9VDC power supply included 5 year warranty Gieseler Linear PSU: Description This linear low noise DC power supply is designed to improve the performance of digital audio accessory devices that are normally powered by small SMPS plug-packs. All the internal components are of high quality & are selected for reliability & sound quality where applicable. Capacitors are Nichicon Fine Gold, Panasonic or Elna Silmic II’s. It is powered by external IE core transformers. These have a distinct advantage over the usual Toroidal type as they have better isolation between the windings & lower bandwidth means less HF noise coming in via the mains. Also being external there is less radiated hum entering the power supply circuitry. Noise, hum & ripple levels are very low due to the common mode choke pre filtering & low noise Linear Technology high performance regulators. Also what helps to reduce noise as well is the use of Schottky diodes & a transformer LC snubber. The DC output cable/connection is an area that is often neglected; so I have gone to extra lengths here to get it right. The DC output on the supply uses a Neutrik 6 Amp XLR gold pin socket. The supplied DC cable uses a matching Neutrik gold pin plug hand soldered to a 10A lead with moulded DC barrel connector for ruggedness. Specifications Noise level is approximately 20 uV to 40 uV d. Ripple & hum rejection is approximately 100 dB. Short circuit & thermal protection. Website: http://gieseler.com.au/ProductsPage/index.html Pictures:

Spurred on after an advert here for a Wyred reclocker and a little further research, I would love to audition an Empirical Audio Reclocker'. Can anyone enlighten me as to whom sells them here in Vic. A demo in a shop would be great, one in my system even better! I run a humble CEC 5100Z transport with a LM 502 DAC. This DAC drops out really easily (just for a second, but I hate it!!!) with even the slightest electrical glitch/ light switched etc. I believe a reclocker might help here and improve the sound as well. Any help here is most appreciated.

Item: Apogee Big Ben 192KHz Master Word Clock Generator/Re-clocker Location: Thornbury, Victoria Price: dropped to $975, of which I will donate $40 to StereoNet (**Edit: please enquire for shipping estimate**) Item Condition: VGC - only one slight mark on the edge of one button. Never been rack mounted, so cheeks are unmarked. Comes with original packaging and documentation on CD-ROM. Reason for selling: Simplifying Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Direct Deposit Extra Info: This unit is 2.5 years old and has served me very well as a re-clocker and format converter. In this mode, it accepts single/dual AES/EBU, Coax SPDIF and Toslink SPDIF, outputting de-jittered single/dual AES/EBU, Coax SPDF and Toslink SPDF simultaneously. Successfully handles all common sample rates to 192KHz, including 88.2 and 176.4. You may read that it won't do all sample rates on Toslink, but I've successfully run Toslink up to 192KHz with no problems. It is also a master clock generator with 6 word clock outputs. Item: Empirical Audio Synchro-Mesh 24/96 SPDIF reclocker and linear 12V PSU with Superteddyreg low noise regulator Location: Sydney Price: $510 + Postage Item Condition: Very Good Reason for selling: Thinking of going the USB route Payment Method: Paypal (add 3.5% unless sent as personal transaction with PP balance or linked bank account), Bank transfer. Extra Info: Up for sale is a Empirical Audio Synchro-Mesh 24/96 and linear 12V PSU with Superteddyreg low noise regulator PSU that i bought from a SNA member. This is a 24/96 version that can output 16 or 24 bit in 96khz (There is a toggle switch). Works fine with my CD player and Squeezebox unit. Doesnt seem to like 192hz signal input but i believe if you want a true 24/192 reclocker then you would need need empirical audio more expensive device. Lots of users reported great improvements on a bunch of streamers such as their Sonos or apple tv/airport system. Linear power supply is a 12V PSU with Superteddyreg low noise regulator. It has been checked up by the builder (AJ) recently and the internal connection has been tighten up and tweaked a little as it gotten loose during transport. Umbilical cord provided to connect the linear psu to the synchromesh (as shown in picture) however you will need to provide your own mains IEC power cord (just the normal pc power supply power cord)for the linear psu Original SMPS power supply for the syncro mesh is also provided. If you want to do pickup then its possible to do so during business hours close to Macquarie park rail station.

FS: Regen USB Amber as new in box
Guest posted a topic in Stereo, Home Cinema, Headphones Components
Item: Regen USB Amber as new in box Location: Brisbane Price: $170 + postage at cost (prepaid 1kg satchel is $8.50) Item Condition: Perfect Reason for selling: Selling for a mate - was using with a high quality DAC and thought there was not enough benefit to warrant keeping it. I tried it with my Auralic Mini and felt the same. Worked brilliantly with a crappy laptop though so will do wonders on a not so clean system (squeezebox, MAC etc). Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: In original box with USB Male to USB Female adaptor and short USB cable. Original power supply. Pictures: You know what these look like! Manufacturers site Stereophile Review Blurb: The USB REGEN takes the digital audio stream from your computer or other music streaming device, and generates a completely new USB data signal to feed to your DAC. It accomplishes this by combining a carefully chosen USB hub chip with an ultra low-noise regulator and low-jitter clock. Importantly, it does so with ideal impedance matching—right at the input of your DAC. If you are familiar with the variations in sound quality that come from different computer configurations, USB cables, and power supplies (no, "bits are bits" really does not apply when pursuing the audio summit), then you will immediately recognize the often dramatic effect that the REGEN can have on the the connection you feel with the music. Although the REGEN does not eliminate all sound quality differences between USB cables in a high-end system, it significantly reduces those differences. John Swenson has written about how the PHY chips and processors at the input of every USB DAC (even those with galvanic isolation) are sensitive to "packet noise modulation" and ground-plane noise—caused by poor signal integrityand impedance mis-matching. Every USB audio source (computer or streamer) and cable causes this, every DAC is affected by this—and the REGEN is the cure. The USB REGEN's secondary function is that it disconnects the computer's noisy 5 volt bus power coming down the USB cable, and provides clean 5VBUS on its output--for DACs that need it—via a second ultra low-noise regulator. From all the time we have spent listening to the REGEN in our systems we can say that it is exceeding our expectations. Often it sounds like you are listening to a different DAC! Of course the benefit will vary with each computer/DAC system, but we hear positive differences even with very modest systems. The improvement is different than with a power supply or computer optimizations—but perhaps larger. Regardless of whether you are feeding your USB DAC from a from a stock computer, a fully-optimized music server, or a streamer/renderer (Auralic Aries, Bryston, Moon Audio, SOtM sMS-100, etc.), the REGEN has the potential to carry your music system to a new level. I am also going to throw in a battery bank with the Regen. This is a 8 bank plastic battery enclosure with on/off switch and a 5.5mm power lead. It holds 8 AA cells and supplies DC to the Regen in place of the power supply that comes with it. If you use 8 rechargable Lithium Ion batteries then you get 12volts, which is perfect for the Regen. Amp's is fine too. I have been using it with some rechargable AA Lithium Ion cells that I got quite cheap on Ebay. You can also use Life-PO as well but they are more expensive and require a special charger though voltage will be higher which the Regen can accommodate. Life-PO retains it's voltage for longer than Lithium Ion. I have run the Regen off the Lithium Ion battery for several days and it has not needed to be charged which is convenient. So another cheapish option if you want to experiment with running the Regen or any other device with a 5.5mm DC power socket that will accept a range of volts. Further information: The Musette is in a silver finish. Metrum are a proponent of R2R, hence devout dislikers of Delta-Sigma conversion. They've relied on industrial chips from outside hifi to need serious glue-logic coding before they interface with audio signal. With up to 384kHz acceptance, noise better than -144dB relative to 2Vrms, channel separation of 100dB across the bandwidth, the Musette is a thoroughly modern DAC. The compact 19 x 6 x 24.5cm WxHxD box weighs 2kg, includes a small 15VA transformer, draws 5 watts in use and offers 1 x Toslink, 2 x coax and 1 x USB with RCA output. Will sell items separately. EXPIRED WYRED 4 SOUND Remedy Reclocker
fire posted a topic in Stereo, Home Cinema, Headphones Components
Further Information: Typical Remedy installation into your system: Digital source (Apple TV, Airport Express, etc) >> Remedy >> DAC Recommended applications include: Sonos Connect, Apple TV & Airport Express, Squeezebox Duet & Touch, iPod docks and many more! The SPDIF output's sample rate is factory configured to 96kHz. Some DACs can miss-read the status bits for the proper resolution when outputting the signal at 96kHz causing problems with playback; for example displaying the incorrect resolution. If a Wyred 4 Sound DAC is being used then the 96kHz will work properly. For compatibility we can set the output to 44.1, 48, 88.2, or 96kHz. If your DAC is only capable of a lower resolution please let us know to set the Remedy to the proper resolution. Please add this request to the comments section on the order form. -
