  1. The FiiO M17 is an absolute beast of a device in every way. I traded for this one to give it a listen , but it was a bit impulsive of me in some ways because I really don't need a device of this type given that I don't commute regularly and already have the Mojo 2 & Poly for around the house with IEMs. So, grab yourself a bargain on one of the best DAPs around! Full details here: https://www.fiio.com/m17 P.S. all edges and surfaces are pristine on the M17. Any signs of blemishes in the pics are fingerprint smudges only - I was in a bit of a hurry with the pics - sorry! Happy to follow-up with detailed photos of any part of the device if you want more detail.

I purchased this new from Addicted to Audio here in Melbourne and it has provided great service. To me the sound is superb and as a portable one-unit tiny go anywhere sound source you would be hard pressed to find something so compact that delivers so much "sound for pound". It has not been getting much use lately and I am considering the next expansion so have decided to list it. Questions welcome, Nick Note the SD card in the photos (just visible) is not included and Paypal is not available for pickup Pictures:

  5. The BTR7 is FiiO's flagship "uber dongle" with hi-res Bluetooth (incl. LDAC), USB connectivity with power isolation for optimal sound, EQ, filter controls, etc. It's a compact and powerful little device that would absolutely be sticking around if I still needed mobile audio solutions for commuting, etc. https://fiio.com/btr7
  6. Make sure you look beyond the branding/styling on this one. I got this in for review and was impressed by it's versatility and performance. USB DAC, hi-res Bluetooth (incl. LDAC), EQ, filter options, two gain levels Here's my full review:

  13. Further information: For sale is my WA11. Fantastic unit and is in as new condition. For those that dont know this amp it is pure Class A 1.2w at 30ohms. It is Woo Audios first solid state amp and has both balanced and unbalanced headphone outputs. It can be used as a headphone amp independent of the DAC or as a "DAC Amp". It also has hi and lo gain settings for those looking to alternate between full size cans and IEMs. It has a wonderfully warm and detailed presentation and is a joy to listen to. I contemplated keeping but its time to try some other things in my headfi journey. Bought new from Addicted to Audio in May 2020. Invoice will be supplied to buyer for warranty. 14. Hi all, My AKG k450 headphones just broke, so I want to replace them. I mostly use them with my phone. It has a headphone jack so I can do wired or wireless. I guess I want them lightweight. I don't like in-ear, but also not overly large. Anyone have any suggestions around $150? Cheers.

  17. Further information: I love this Oppo HA-2, but after some other purchasing on here, I need to sell some of the things I'm no longer using. You can connect in via iOS based device, USB Micro-B (Android with OTG / PC / Mac) or line-in, and then output to headphones. It has a built in battery that can keep itself charged, but also act like a portable battery to charge devices on the go. And, from a design perspective, I think it looks amazing. Note that the USB cable included with this is not the one it came with I suspect, but has been tested and confirmed to charge the unit. 20. I travel into Melbourne to have a "highend" steak meal with an X work friend. On the train I take a pair of Phiaton MS400s because they are closed back. Why closed back? Because often when I travel I'm on with the Granny Pack who are all deaf, all talk at once and are as loud and anoying as a ploitician on ice. Yes Ok also to keep my music to myself. The player is a Cowon S9 and amp is an Oatley\retro-thermionic K272C portable triode headphone amp. At home I mainly use speakers. That was upto when I built a delicious Woo inspired tube headphone amp (see image) with Sophia Mesh Plate Rec tube. I fell in love with the sound of HPs. My phones are AT 700 Airs and lately Sennheiser HD700s. I didn't listen through speakers for about a month after building this. Unfortunately the HP tube amp (Sanguine) sold but I have a solid state preamp\headphone amp I use which is based on a single 2N3055 and a block of wood (Woody Pro - see image). Listen to "Idol" or "So You Think You Can Dance" or a movie by myself I use HPs these days so as not to anoy the rest of the family. Fortunately in my main listening lounge I have a 50" LED TV and blue tooth to the HP amp beside me. So for me probaly 90% speaker listening in one of three listening\equipment areas and just 10% on the phones. If the wife is home and I must have my daily listening fix I setup the HP system. With two nice open-back HPs to choose from it is still a great experience. What about yourself?

  25. Hi All, I searched the forum and I could not find a dedicated Chord Hugo discussion thread where owners can share tips and experiences. I'll get the ball rolling, I also posted this in Head Fi, I prefer SNA because we are in the same time zone. I have a weird thing going on with my Hugo. When the battery is low, the light flashes and the audio drops in and out. I understand this behaviour is due to low battery power, however should this behavoiour be present if it's plugged into the charger and actively recharging? Also, how long does it take for the battrey to fully recharge? I've had the Hugo plugged in and powered down for more than 4 hours and I was only able to get around 45 minutes of usage off the battery charge. Another thing I have noticed is that when the Hugo is recharging the white light flashes on and off, should the light be ON the entire time it is recharging? I'm starting to think that the wall wart I have is faulty.
