Item: Ray Samuels Nighthawk F117 Phono Amp Location: Melbourne Price: $500 Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Downscaling my gear collection Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Hi there, After several years of loyal service, I am reluctantly moving this excellent amp on. I don't think I need to speak to much about the quality of this piece equipment - it's bloody awesome. This particular unit is in great condition, has been used minimally in a smoke free home. Battery feels like it's still holding it's charge like the day I bought it. Happy to answer any questions. Oh, I realise I forgot to photograph the Charging unit! But don't worry, I have it. And if you really need a photo of it I'm willing to break my back bending over the back of my hi-fi shelves, battle my way through the deadly tangle of cables, and retrieve it for a photo shoot. Actually, I have to do that anyway for when it's sold, so I suppose I should just man up and do it now.... Photos:

Up for sale is my PS Audio GCPH phono stage amplifier. I understand these don't come up for sale too often. I'm only selling it because I'm moving up to a PS Audio Stellar Phono. I've had this for about five years, purchased second hand. Many reviews out there that rate it incredibly highly (here's What Hi Fi's for your clicking convenience: https://www.whathifi.com/ps-audio/gcph/review ). It has the full array of settings to cater for most if not all carts (I currently run a LOMC Dynavector Karat 17D3 with it). Output options include standard RCA as well as balanced out. Includes its remote and original box. I'd prefer pick up in Melbourne but if buyer covers cost of postage plus insurance, ok to post too.

Item: Trigon Advance Phono amp (Made in Germany) Location: Melbourne 3148 Price: $650 Item Condition: As new Reason for selling: Too many Phono amps Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal as friend, COD Only Extra Info: purchased from Class A Audio in Jan 2018 for $1500. Trigon Advance is made in Germany. This sublime phono stage has an awesome sound stage and awe-inspiring detail. What makes it super special, is the accumulator technology, which works like a power generator/battery backup, providing a clear and neutral sound. While purchasing the Trigon from Class A Audio, I made an extensive comparison with various other phono stages in the same price range viz. Rega Aria, Music Fidelity Mx-Vinyl, Soundsmith MCP2. To tell you the truth, the Trigon made the Rega sound like a toy. The Mx-Vinyl and MCP2 though very musical lacked the oomph and detail of the Trigon. I would put the Trigon against the Cyrus Phono Signature + PSX-R₂ combination, that retails for almost twice the price of the Trigon. Here are a few review videos - This is a very reluctant sale but I have no use of it, having moved to the Canary MCP-10. I don't have the original boxes, but can pack it properly for interstate buyers. Please message me for p&h charges. Further information: This unit was bought as a package during October last year with Rega P8 from West Coast Hi-Fi. I have not used it at all, as I am having my Accession M. I have confirmation email from Synergy Audio that it is warranted with 3 years parts and labour warranty. Since then, I was busy with shifting house and now that I have settled down, it is time for it to be on sale. The only short-for is that I have thrown away the box, so a generic carton box will be used and rest assure that it will be properly done. Write out from Rega website: The Aria is an "all analogue amplifier" with no digital control circuitry. The fully aluminium case screens the internal circuit from any stray RFI signals. The designers have avoided including any superfluous gadgets as they obstruct the signal path and degrade the sound quality. It incorporates many innovative design ideas including a self-adjusting servo control to keep the MC input circuit at its optimum, compensating for any variations in ambient or operating temperature. Both stages have their own separate input sockets and input pre-amplifier circuitry. This enabled us to design bespoke input circuitry for each cartridge type without compromise. Signal switching is performed at high level and low impedance (via relays) ensuring there is no degradation of the signal. MC Stage Design & Features The MC input uses parallel connected, low noise FET's (Field Effect Transistor's) configured as a compound pair. The use of FET transistors ensures there is no bias current flowing in the cartridge coil so as not to upset the delicate magnetic geometry of the cartridge. The MC input has the provision for selecting resistive input loading of 70ohms to 400ohms and capacitive loading of 1000pF to 4200pF. The input sensitivity can be changed by 6dB via the back panel. MM Stage design & features The MM input uses low noise, bipolar input transistors also configured as a compound pair. There are two separate power supplies for each channel and further sub-power supplies for each of the low noise input circuits. Nichicon FG electrolytic capacitors have been used in critical positions throughout the power supplies. Polypropylene capacitors have been used in the signal path and equalization networks. Discrete circuitry is used throughout the signal path ensuring full control of the circuit design.
