  1. Dear All Last night my Parasound Halo Integrated started to make continuous loud static noise when switched to Optical/Coaxl/USB input. I have disconnected the input cable and the static noise persists. I left my amp switched on when I went to my study, and a couple of hours later when I returned, the speakers were making a static sound. I tried to switch to other output sources, and the result was the same. When playing content from the source, optical and Coxal, no sound comes out except the static noise. Does anyone know what's wrong with the amp? or can offer any solutions? Regards
  2. Further Information: This one hurts. Purchased in June 2023 from Audio Trends. Selling purely for funds for non-audio matters. This is a beauty. I've had it hooked up to a Clearaudio Concept Wood w/SatisfyKardan arm and Ortofon Quintet Bronze cart, using balanced outs into a Yamaha A-S2100. Very resolving, with adjustable loading and gain, and a mono switch which works beautifully. Comes with original box (double-boxed), manual and power cable. Full specs here: https://parasound.com/zphono_xrm.php I daresay in the future I'll be buying this again when funds allow.

  7. Item: Parasound JC1 Monoblock Amps Location: Sydney Price: 6,500 Item Condition: Used Reason for selling: Settling in with tubes amp Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: PICKUP ONLY - NO SHIPPING. Second owner. I would like to sell these rather than being unused because I'm quite content with my tubes amp. Still have boxes available. Even though these are 400w / 8ohms each, Stereophile did a measurement test and the true numbers are somewhere around 568w/8ohms each! Very powerful solid state amps that can drive any speakers on planet earth (even Bose!). I used these to power my Dynaudio C2 and they power them without any sweat, even though Dynaudio C2 are famous for being difficult to drive. Happy to provide demo for serious buyers. The amp was designed by the famous John Curl, read up the story about this amp and you will be convinced that this is a serious piece of engineering and they did not skim with the components inside either. There are minor scuff marks on the chassis which is quite normal for amps at this age. The JC1 runs in pure Class-A up to 25 watts at eight ohms, with its bias set to high and ten watts into eight ohms with the bias set to low. These amps are still being sold on hi-fi stores in Sydney for $9,000 EACH. So grab a massive bargain, it's a no brainer to get it at this price when you could have spent $18,000 for the pair. 11. Item: Parasound A21 Power Amplifier Location: Gosford will ship Price: $2000 Item Condition: few marks but 100% operationally. Reason for selling: Not used. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Superb sounding amplifier. Cosmetically it is stained in some areas with something that I just can’t remove, no matter what I use. Luckily it seems to be mostly on the rear panel. This model also has outputs on each channel at the rear to run additional Amplifiers or active subs. Each output has its own attenuation so you can tailor the output to match the equipment. Sound quality is dynamic and with excellent bass drive. Midrange is on the warm side and highs are clear and extended with very little coloration. 17. Item:Parasound Halo A52 Power amp Location:Melbourne,Victoria Price:$1700 (firm) Item Condition:9/10 Reason for selling: Because I don't know when to quit Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info The Halo series from Parasound has some what of cult status, being designed by the legendary John Curl. This amp puts out 30 amps of current which gives it performance beyound it power rating. I dare you to find a better built, better featured and better sounding 5 channel amp for this price (hence I'm firm at $1700) This is a beautifully warm and organic sounding amplifier. I bought it because it was the only amp that satisfied me musically while still providing 5 channels for surround sound. I had to think long and hard before I offered it for sale. It is great for low impedance or hard to drive speakers like PMC, ATC and Dynaudio which I have it running now. I have original box but this Amp is big and heavy so suggest local pick-up unless your willing to cover cost of shipping. PM me for Pics

  19. Hi all, For sale is a Parasound ZDAC V2 headphone amp & DAC (silver). It was a prize from the hifi show that I am unable to utilise in my setup, so I'd rather someone get to enjoy it and I can concentrate on other upgrades. It is brand new, in sealed box as collected from Whatmough. Asking $650 as its currently on special for $795 but will welcome offers. Prefer pickup eastern suburbs of Melbourne but can assist with courier/post etc for interstate purchasers. Thanks, Aze

  22. Item: Parasound JC2 Bypass Location: Port Macquarie NSW Price: $3800, $3150 Item Condition: Used mint condition Reason for selling: It is Silver, the rest of my equipment is black Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, Bank Transfer Extra Info: 3 years old, unused the last 6 months. I purchased a PS Audio BHK pre 6 months ago, I think the JC2 has slightly better micro details retrieval and better PRAT, the BHK has a more laid back sound, dare I say more analogue, probably mainly due to its valve input stage, honestly there is little difference between the JC2 and the BHK, and I could live with either easily. The JC2 retails at around $9k and is highly sought after by many audiophiles. This JC2 is like new and has only ever been fed clean power from a PS Audio P10 power plant. OEM Boxes, manual and remote included. Price includes freight cost to anywhere in Australia. Pictures:
  23. Any one in Adelaide with any of these amps? Just need a visit to try them on my Ambience ribbons. Usal bribery of wine or whiskey and a chance to meet plenty of audio fanatics. Cheers, Hugh
