Hello, I have a pair of P7's that need to be repaired/serviced. The left driver begins to distort and crackle whenever the volume goes up. They're ok at very low levels. I can't see anything physically wrong with the driver or connections/cable after disassembling them. I have emailed B&W and they were pretty unhelpful. They asked if I had tried a new cable for them but that was it. Seemed that the headphones are old enough that they didn't care. I purchased these used off a friend. I found a guy on Airtasker who had great reviews for repairing headphones and works for Vicpol looking after all their comms so seemed to know his stuff. He couldn't find any obvious issues with them and tested the drivers etc. and gave up and returned them to me and refunded me. I rarely listen to headphones at the moment and when I do I have a pair of Philips SHP9500 that I use. It would be fantastic to get these headphones back to life but I'm afraid I'll need to spend more than they're worth to repair them. - Is this a common issue with P7's? - Can anyone recommend a store in/around Melbourne who would repair these? - Does anyone have a very loose idea of potential costs involved? Further information: Limited edition version of the legendary all in one speakers. Everything works perfectly with rock solid wireless connection. Condition is near perfect as you can see in pictures. There are swirls like any black piano gloss speakers (or car) would have on the body you can only see if you’re really looking - but I’m sure this can be buffed out. Comes with original special edition box, power cables, Ethernet cable, but no remote unfortunately - you can get a spare for not too much money but I’ve personally never used it anyway. Pickup in fitzroy 3065 preferred, but open to shipping at buyer’s cost

Was listening to abc 774 on my DAB+ radio overnight and this morning and it didn't sound much better than AM in terms of frequency response. Am I the only person getting this? The bitrate was 64kbps but it sounded worse than say Newsradio on the same radio or ABC 774 at 64kbps MP3 or 48kbps AAC on my iPhone. Signal quality was 100%.

Bought this new 3 years back. Have used it with an external power amp this last year. Cosmetically has 1 scratch. Price wise - looking in the region of $250 but happy to entertain offers. Hi all I bought this unit a few weeks ago (30th Dec 2012) from one of the Sony Centers. So, it's got most of the warranty left. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, just a personal change of direction. I bought it as a second player for the house but I'd like to get a PS3 instead. Looking to get $300 for it. Pickup from Melbourne is preferable, but can look at options for sending interstate if needed.

Melbourne: Loewe Xelos 5381, this TV was 3.5k new just on 10 years ago and is in as very good condition, 100Hz refresh rate and still puts many TV's today to shame, this TV has been serviced for the fault identified by Loewe a few years ago,note that I do not have any packing for this TV, weight is 49kg. As it is analogue for TV I will throw in a Strong SRT5430 HD STB and several scart connectors as well. Would make a great garage or kids room gaming TV. Was hoping someone could recommend a calibrator in the Melbourne area with expertise on this set? Am wanting 3D to be calibrated also and ideally would like to have a report showing the accuracy. As I now know what it feels like Blade RNR regretfully I am putting my gear up for sale here. I fell in love with a motorbike and something had to give, unfortunately it's my Home Theatre. Wow I can't believe I'm doing this! I would prefer to sell everything together and not ship but will if I have to. For Sale JTR 2400 Captivator's X 2 (Passive model): These are seriously incredible subs. Great for music and movies (listening to HD Stones "Exile on Main Street" as we speak!) I've never found their limits and have given me three years of absolute bass heaven. I NEVER thought I would sell these period! Many great reviews in subwoofer shootouts against Seaton Submersive's on AVS forum (look them up if you're interested) and am more than happy to demo for anybody who is serious about buying them. My neighbours will thank you. Jeff Permianan (JTR) has now stopped making the 2400's and moved to the Captivator 1400's which won't scale the heights of the 2400's. I have lifted the drivers out of these a few times now and it's very difficult to do without making any marks/impressions on the cabinets. As a result there are a few indentations around where both drivers sit in the cabinets but it's not major by any means and hard to notice. One Captivator doesn't have a cover the other one does. Please PM me if you want pictures and I will send them through via email is preferred. Price=$2100 each (if both bought together I will Include a Crown XLS5000 amplifier which the fan takes a few starts sometimes to come on but is perfectly matched to power these beasts). - Will include all cables (10 metres 12AWG Cable each sub), Behringer MIC2200 Parametric EQ for both subs and Dayton V2 Omnimic. I have been able to setup Sub EQ in the two places I have lived in and would be happy to assist in this area. Cary Cinema 11a: Quite simply the best preamp I've owned by a mile. Great sounding across two channel and multi channel applications an awesome preamp, note this is not 3D compliant (1.3v). Has One HDMI input and two HDMI outputs. It is a 7.1 balanced preamp too. The Cinema 11a has a few quirks but nothing affected performance. Occasionally when a Blu-ray Disc is going through the start up stages before previews or movie starts it makes some small pops which are minor and only ever does this when menu's and screen changes are occurring during start up once or twice. On the digital side of things the first half a second is sometimes cut off when skipping chapters or songs. Never worried me and none of this happens when listening in Analog. These quirks never detracted from the unit for me and never encroached when a movie or music was in play but just thought I'd mention it here. Price: $1000 Elektra Theatron Seven Channel Amplifier: Need I say More! Price: $1600 SOLD PENDING PAYMENT Klipsch KLF 30's: I replaced the original woofers with Bob Crites (4 in total) and the tweeters have been replaced with Bob Crites titaniums (original tweeters included) and they are sweet sounding speakers to say the least. Cabinets have marks on them and not perfect but cosmetic only. The left hand lower woofer middle cone is pushed in. It doesn't effect performance and is cosmetic only. The left hand upper woofer I noticed occasionally didn't sound right when using my old preamp test signals. A light tap of the woofer used to rectify this but have never noticed anything since I got my new preamp and never noticed anything wrong whilst playing movies or music. They don't have any dust covers. Price: $600 Klipsch KLF C7 (Centre Channel): Outstanding centre channel has a few cosmetic marks on cabinet but is in perfect working condition. The left side top and left back corners have a bit of damage which is not major but the corners have a slight chunk out of them. It doesn't effect performance at all. I have replaced the original tweeter with Bob Crites Titanium and also have original. Price $350 Klipsch KG 4.2's: Great speakers used as rear left and right in my home theatre some cosmetic marks on cabinets. Price: $350 I can ship interstate if necessary at buyers expense but would prefer local pick up. This is a very regrettful sale. After Darwin switches off analog TV on July 30, there are no more switch offs until December 3 & 10, where Sydney, Melbourne and Remote Central & Eastern Australia switch off analog TV for the last time. Should the shutdown be brought forward, e.g. from December 3 & 10 to September 3 & 10 or even August 6 & 13? Of course, this would have to be subject to consultation.
