  2. Hi I've got an LG 60LA8600 TV that is about a year old, I'm having problems getting it to connect to my wi-fi network. It has connected in the past but right now it's just not doing it for me. I've got 3 wifi networks (long story) it can see them all but no matter how many times i enter the wi-fi password it is rejected and throws me back to the setup screen. I know the password is correct because i set it up myself and with a handful of iPads, iPhones and MacBook Pros in the house never have any problems connecting - and because my 12 year old child can't get it to work either . It's such a pain manually entering passwords with the remote to have them rejected without explanation :-( I'd use the smartphone app but of course i need to be able to connect to it to do so! I have previously managed to connect because the software has been updated quite a few times over the period i have had it, i think it looses the connection with each software update. Any thoughts or suggestions will be gratefully heard.
  3. Hi Everyone, My new LG Smart UHD TV drops wifi connection exactly after 1 hour. I have tested this a couple of times and it is 1 hour. I then go to 'network' option and reconnect the internet on the TV. (All the other devices connected to wifi works absolutely fine). I mostly watch Youtube and Stan app on the TV. I am currently with Telstra Bigpond and use the Technicolour TG587n V3 modem/router. Is this the router issue or the wifi hardware on tv?
  4. Hi Everyone, Got the LG 55UH652T (Ultra HD TV) over the weekend and hooked it up on the wall. Setup was a breeze and the TV connected to the wifi instantly and the picture and sound are fantastic! For the last three days, while watching Youtube or Stan for a hour or so on the TV, the app stops responding and I get "you are not connected to the internet" error. I went to network settings to see the TV is still 'connected' to my wifi but the internet doesnt work for any app including Freeview. (I checked other devices like my ipad, iphone and the wifi is working fine). I click on it, it forgets my network. I click on it again and type the password and it connects instantly and the internet on starts working fine. The router is in the same room as the TV. Its approx. 4-5 meters away with no obstruction. I called LG support today from work and they asked me to 'reset the router'. I dont understand why I have to do that as the router is working fine! They also asked switch on the personal hotspot on the mobile phone and connect the TV to that to see if it gets disconnected (I am actually trying that now). This is crap as the TV is kind of using all my mobile data!! The support rep advised if the TV wifi doesn't disconnect then there is an issue with you internet network. If not then I can call them again to request for a technician to come in. I dont feel it is correct as i have never had issues with my Internet connection (i am with Telstra). The TV is 3 days old and I hate the fact that I have to go through this..... Any advice? Suggestions? Thanks
  5. Hi all, For those not familiar with the term, it is where certain areas on the tv panel will display different colouration from the rest of the panel. this is quite often visible when only one colour is being displayed, but also evident when watching normal programming, particularly sport. In my personal experience it manifests itself in large vertical sections of a screen. Sometimes it looks like the colour has been "smudged" I recently purchased an LG 652 series 60" tv from my local Harvey Norman, which suffered from quite visible "banding" issues. The guys at Harvey Norman were great, offering money back, upgrade, replacement etc etc. I elected to spend (quite) a bit more and try a 65" version of the same series of TV, as they were confident i was very unlucky and got a bad unit - apparently nobody had returned a unit before. Unfortunately, the new unit also had evidence of banding, even worse that the first tv. The second unit was duly returned, and replaced with a 65" panasonic 640 series tv. Much to my disappointment this tv also suffers from banding, albeit presenting in different circumstances - normal TV and netflix - fantastic, no issues - watching AFL or premier league on SBS in HD - nasty! I went back to harvey norman today to discuss with the ever helpful salesman, and he advised me that LG had refused to replace both the returned units, claiming the banding as "in spec" and therefore acceptable and not a warranty issue. He also showed me a brand new Samsung panel that they had just installed, and it was appalling. Samsung apparently are even more rigid in there stance on returned panels. Now, don't all rush off to inspect your tvs, as I don't want to bring undue frustration into your households! What i would like to hear from other members is if they have experienced similar issues, and what they did to resolve. i have googled, and found that this is a very common matter. For the manufacturers to consider such an evident "flaw" to be acceptable is really beyond me, and i am surprised i hadn't heard of it before now. Some may call this a conspiracy theory, but one thing is for sure IMHO - all of the HD / 4K loops they roll through the tvs in the showrooms are specifically prepared to hide these aspects. Watching normal tv or a DVD / Blue Ray is the best way to identify the issue before purchasing - buyers beware!
  6. Hi there! i am from Austria (yep) and i bought this nice surround receiver "LG-AR702 NS". I bought it used last year. I'm very pleased with the sound and i really like it. Here comes my problem. LG Austria, Germany .. do not support this product anymore. You can't even anything about it at LG-Online in my country. Its' like it didn't ever exist. So when i found out that there was no support here in my continent, i started researching and found out, that there are some information about it down under. So my problem is, that when i connect my PC or PS3 directly via HDMI to the LG, there is this problem, that it recognizes the "multi-channel" input, but messes it up, and center comes from surround right. I got this problem on PC when using windows-sound-configuration. when i click on the center, the test-sound comes from the back. When i watch a downloaded 5.1 video (movie-trailer), the sound goes right. But games, programs and windows do not work well. Same at PS3. Netflix works fine. Amazon Prime Video not. Netflix even works fine, when i got 1. PS3 to TV via HDMI. 2. TV to LG via Toslink) I think it depends on the signal that comes into the AVR. I found out, that there was a similar problem with "Denon" receivers. This could be fixed with a firmeware update. But i couldn't find anything for the LG. Do you have any idea in fixing this? BTW. as i bought this used, i didn't get a microphone for audissey set-up. and it is IMPOSSIBLE to geht one used-part here in Europe. is there any help for me too? thank you a lot. nice greetings from the other side of the world
  7. G'day, I've been offered a 52" TV in perfect workiong order, but I don't know anything about it except it's make and model. Its an LG PF-52A70 "Gallery" I need to know: How old is it? (Is that good or bad? Life expectancy?) Is it a rear projection TV? (Is that good or bad?) Is it Plasma, LCD, HCT, ABC, or PCP? (Is that good or bad?) Is it very expensive to run? I've been crawling the net all afternoon without success. Can someone please help me with this. I realise it's an old TV, but some last decades, and I can't afford to buy a new one. Thanks in anticipation, Peter

  10. Further information: Purchased April 25, 2020 from Appliances Online for $3590. I absolutely love this TV, but have decided that 65 inches just ain't big enough - so I'm going to upgrade to 77" if I can sell this one. It's in perfect condition, absolutely no dead pixels, scratches, etc. Full original packaging and accessories included, as well as receipt for purchase. Prefer pickup from Brunswick Victoria due to the estimated cost of delivery being extremely high. If you don't know why this 120Hz, 4K, Variable Refresh Rate, HDMI 2.1-packing, HDR OLED is an absolute beast of a TV, there's a bunch of reviews online, like this one: https://www.tomsguide.com/reviews/lg-c9-oled To buy this year's model, the CX, will cost you at least $4,200, and from what I can gather, it's basically identical to the 2019 C9. 11. Further information: Just about to move and might be time for a bigger screen. OLED is stunning, TV, movies, gaming, all off the charts. I've owned it since new and never get sick of the picture quality. I can help you get it into your vehicle, but only own a small hybrid so can't bring it to you. I don't have the original packaging, sorry..

  13. Further Information: Perfect condition, zero burn-in, zero dead pixels, zero scratches on screen, and excellent screen uniformity. Recently calibrated with Calman for LG/i1Display Pro. Happy for you to inspect the screen at pickup. I've used it for both movies and gaming, and have been extremely cautious about preventing burn in. If you need the screen couriered to you, you'll have to pay those costs (box is 1895mm x 1130mm x 285mm, weight 50kg) We're setting up a new home theatre in a bigger room, so am upgrading to an 83" LG.
