This is an rare KA-9100 amp. Pretty much the last of the big boys from Kenwood.
Dual Mono design & 90wpc. Lots of power. great looks and a fantastic original wood case (which can be removed if you want a steel case look).
This is the international version with multi-voltage selection. So you can run it on 110v or 240v.
Also comes with the original 1977 Kenwood box! how's that for hording...
Condition:
It's pretty much been in carbonate freeze, hence why it's in this condition, boxed for all these years.
Overall, this amp is in incredible condition. The face plate is spotless, no dings, dents or corner imperfections one would usually expect. It's perfect.
The outer wood cabinet is also in incredible condition. Nothing worth mentioning other than a slight mark above the Kenwood 'd', small enough to be hard to photograph.
Sound:
It's comparable to my Sansui AU-717. Warm, great sound-stage and wide-ranging detail. Oh and it has VU meters with working lights!!
Built-in phono-stage is as good as they get for that era.
All dials, switches and buttons work as expected.
