  1. Hey All! I've been out of the loop for a few years now but finally getting some free time to enjoy movies/gaming/music again and want to improve on my current 2.1 audio setup to match a recent 4kTV upgrade. My current setup is: Visual Sony X85G 4k HDR TV Sources CA Azure 751BD Bluray/Cd Player Foxtel iQ4 PS4 Pro iPhone11pro Audio Rotel RA-06SE Integrated Stereo Amp B&W 685 Speaker Pair B&W PV1 Subwoofer A $50 Jaycar DAC that's handling the optical audio output from the TV to my stereo amp while i'm working out which path to go down... For simplification purposes I now basically stream everything movie/TV related via all the streaming services like Netflix, Disney+ etc or watch sport and premiere movies on Foxtel. And, if i'm being honest, I probably stream music way more just from my iPhone these days than a CD. I'm basically embracing super fast broadband, improved streaming quality and convenience. So anyways, i guess I'm looking for advice on where i can add/improve on my current setup to better suit my new way of consuming media. Now a couple of notes: I have no plans to update the speakers/sub anytime soon. I'm happy with them. I have no plans to grow my physical movie/music library. I'm embracing the ease of streaming services. My audio focus is more towards being immersed in a movie/tv show and less so on music, which is more for in the background when cooking, entertaining etc. My total upgrade budget is around $1k - $1.5k for new component/s... but certainly no more than $2k. A decent DAC to handle the PCM optical outs from my TV and Foxtel is an obvious solution, but: I want this upgrade to be a family friendly integration - not a symphony of remote shuffling. I'd like the option of a sub line out as well as stereo out. I'd like the option to stream music from my iPhone sometimes. A new integrated stereo amp is the other solution to handle the digital audio outputs from TV/Foxtel/ps4 and drive my speakers. Downside is i'm left with the RA-06SE which i do still like. But, if i can get an option that is better in audio quality as well as handling my digital inputs within my budget than it's A-ok. I want this upgrade to be a family friendly integration - not a symphony of remote shuffling. I'd like the option of a sub line out as well as stereo out. I'd like the option to stream music direct from my iPhone sometimes. So i guess the advice i need, taking into account how i watch/listen to stuff and what equipment i already have is: Recommendations/brands on where to start on the new DAC Path? Recommendations/brands on where to start on the new integrated stereo path? Recommendations on another path that I've missed? Thanks in advance. TCG
  2. This is a complete high end cinema ready for purchase. It has only been turned on a few times and everything is in excellent condition. As a result of a marriage ending, I'm forced to sell everything. I believe this is a very good opportunity for someone to pick up high end quality brands at a fraction of the as new price. I am located in Melbourne, Australia. Also, given the weight and lack of boxes for a lot of the gear, local pickup would be preferred. If you are able to supply a courier to box everything and you take responsibility, then we can work something out. This is an honest and serious sale. I'm parting with a dream cinema that was never realised, I just hope you have better luck with it. Not looking for offers, price is fair and firm. All equipment is black, with Meridian finished in Piano Black. 4 of the 5 DSP speakers are coaxial connection with 1 having the newer ethernet. Will supply photos and serial numbers for all gear to serious buyers. Price as new in excess of $80,000. Priced for sale at $25,000 AUD. Thanks for looking.

  4. Up for sale is my Bryston 4B SST I purchased this used around one year ago. I have the original receipt of purchase (2004) so is still covered under the 20 year transferable manufacture warranty until 2024!! These are very rare on the used market as once you own a Bryston you have seldom need to puchase anything else. I would love to keep this amp but need the funds. This amp has performed flawlessly in my 2 channel system since I have owned it, it is built like a tank, rock solid, dead silent and wonderfully neutral sounding. The control it supplied it my Usher speakers which are notoriously hard to drive was best I've heard . These amps have a cult status and it is easy to see why. Just Google the model below is a review from steroephile comparing this model to the early 4B ST. http://www.stereophi...plifier-more-lg mechanically this amp is in great condition it is also in great cosmetic condition but there is a small dent on the left hand bottom corner (see pics). It is barley noticeable from the front and makes no impact on the performance of this amp. Pickup Dandenong Area Melbourne or will post at buyers expense. I accept Bank Transfer, cash on pick-up or Paypal (Buyer pays 2.5% fees)

  7. SPEAKERS AARON AUSTRALIAN MADE (rare package of matching front's and full range centre) $725 Selling a set of AARON top of the line speakers consisting of front L/R ATS-5 and the top of the line, full range, matched centre CC-240 These speakers are in a mahogony finish, i dont use grills when listening as the look is so good and matches the great sound produced. The pictures show the AARON's in my H.T. setup 9.2(note the subs are large 15" for sizing) and my 5.1 gaming room. These work with or without a subwoofer. These speakers were made by Aaron a while ago so are run in and produce a lovely sound stage.Have been kept and used in a dust, smoke, pet and child free home and kept covered when not in use, the speakers have never been pushed/mistreated. They are 6ohm speakers but due to their high sensitivity they are easy to power. ( I have used these with Denon avr 890, x2000, 3808, 4308, 4311, .. I have an AVR which is being used as preamp for the A52 at present and my plan is to use 3 power channels on the AVR for centre and rear then invest in a high power 2 channel set-up as 90% of my listening is 2 channel. Payment Method: Pickup - COD Only Pretty happen with this amp so not desperate to sell google some review and you'll see why this is a gem of an amp. I am the 2nd owner and have had it for 2 years. 10. Hi, I am planning for an HT room and would like to go Atmos/DTS-X. It is more the restricted Atmos setup with the ceiling speakers that is making my life difficult. I have an exposed ceiling with the roof studs starting at 220cm and the ceiling at 250cm. In the picture, the black cubes are the 7 channel setup, (I know, no center or sub in the picture), the orange cube are Atmos 35 degree angle from LS, and the green are Atmos 45 degree angle from LS speakers. The six grey cubes are "chairs" and the blue box in the back of the room is a pantry that I cannot move, I might build a cabinet in the other corner in the back to mirror it. I was thinking for the LS and RS to go with bi-pole speakers, to suit the back row. For the LSB and RSB I will probably go with mono pole speakers due to the pantry (and possible cabinet) For the ceiling speakers I was thinking to go with box speakers angled toward the LS. These speakers within the Atmos preferred dimension will sit smack bang against the exposed roof stud. I could build a lowered floating ceiling to mount the speakers in, but they exposed roof studs will still be in the way since I don't want to lower my ceiling to 220cm height. Going Atmos 7.2.2 will have the same problem that the ceiling speaker will be sitting smack bang against the next exposed roof stud. What would be the best option if not DTS-X
  11. Hi everyone, We've been getting a lot of requests for complete HT bundles, including all speakers, a subwoofer and an AVR. We're working on the subwoofer kits, they'll be available soon, but I'm hoping to get some suggestions from SNA about the AVR. Given say a $1500-$2500 spend on speakers/subwoofer, what price would people expect to pay for an AVR? And what brands are popular at that price point? Suggestions? I've just added the suggested brands to a poll question along with a couple of others, you can select multiple brands so tick any that you would like to see us sell in our bundles. As for the price range, $700-1K seems to be the most popular for a base model, and perhaps another option with more features at 1.5-2K? Regards, Daniel
  12. Item: Emotiva XMC-1 GEN 2 AV ProcessorLocation: PerthPrice: SOLDItem Condition: PristineReason for selling: Decluttering as getting ready to move housePayment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal (buyer pays fees), Bank DepositExtra Info: Emotiva dont need an introduction, but this HT processor is fantastic. This was purchased about two and a half years ago from Emotiva direct, before Final Link became official distributors in Australia. Unit has hardly been used, as it was supposed to be used in a new home build that never eventuated at the time. Supplied with all accessories (minus manual, link below) and packaging. Unit itself is immaculate. This unit can also be upgraded to support HDMI2.0 and HDCP2.2, as well as Dolby Atmos and DTS-X, however I believe its possible these add-on cards may need to be acquired via Emotiva direct from the US, rather than Final Link (they are currently not available in Australia yet anyways). Also, the Dirac license is not transferable, so a new license (purchasing the full Dirac software) would be required to run Dirac on this unit. Full Instruction manual here:- http://www.emotiva.com/resources/XMC_user_v30_manual.pdf
