  1. Further information: AudioQuest DragonFly Red USB DAC/Amp DragonFly Red, combines significantly improved performance with still exceptional value. The higher-performance 9016 chip in Red employs minimum-phase filtering for naturally detailed sound. DragonFly Red includes a more advanced ESS headphone amp and a bit-perfect digital volume control that resides on the 9016 DAC chip itself—a sophisticated implementation that gives Red a unique combination of power and grip over the music. With its higher 2.1-volt output, DragonFly Red is compatible with a wider range of headphones, including power-hungry, low-efficiency models. How is this possible? Like the critically acclaimed DragonFly Red has the robust 2.1-volt output to drive almost any headphone, uses a bit-perfect digital volume control for outstanding signal-to-noise ratio, enables seamless compatibility with Apple and Android devices, and is an exceptionally competent and affordable MQA Renderer. Purchased used and never used it, its in Mint Condition and comes with all packaging, a donation to SNA will be made upon sale. A couple of very minor marks on the USB (bottom edge of the Dragon fly) and damage to the outer box corner (I received it like this) RRP$ in Australia range from $300 - $400 depending the stores. 11. I've cobbled together this system through various sources for the purpose of streaming lossless music (all genres except metal) from a PC, in my carpeted home office. The dimensions are 3x3.5m, with the speakers projecting along the long wall, with their face and rear sitting 55cm and 20cm from the wall, respectively. The Paradigms are the Monitor Series 7. I've plugged the lower rear bass ports with rolled up tea towels. (For electronic music I begin to feel nauseated after 5min otherwise). I listen at levels between 25-50db. I don't hear any weird bass rattles. The sound is streets ahead of anything I've ever owned. While I understand that most would recommend getting modest bookshelves and a sub like an REL (I've heard the Monitor Audio (Bronze, Silver...? I didn't note it down) + REL TZero Mk3 pairing, and it is excellent), this setup is substantially more expensive to achieve (require speaker stands and the used market for an REL sub + bookshelves is relatively tighter). From what I gather, the CA 840a amp operates in Class A mode at low levels, and people seem to think Class As sound more musical/warmer (which is what I prefer). Is there an alternative setup for this space which I could roll into without putting in more money? Looking forward to some opinions. Cheers
