EXPIRED FS: (BRI) PS Audio Digital Link III DAC
Guest posted a topic in Stereo, Home Cinema, Headphones Components
Further information: Time to move on my PS Audio Digital Link III. Lovely DAC with USB input, Burr Brown chips and Balanced out. What isn't to like ! This particular version has the on/off switch on the back panel which is the preferred model. Only selling as I have 3 other DACs and need to thin down the herd a bit. Some comments from PS Audio "The DLIII is a killer Media DAC featuring the latest fully balanced sigma delta digital to analog converter, the TI PCM1798DB at its heart. This stunning new generation of 192kHz processors from Texas Instruments features 24-Bit resolution, 123dB dynamic performance and its rated THD is a stunningly low 0.0005%. It comes with differential outputs and an 8 times oversampling filter, providing exceptionally lifelike audio. Our engineers based the DLIII around this amazing DAC engine, and designed an all new input circuit and receiver, a 100% discrete output stage and a huge power supply to finish it off. This is true high-end. You won’t find any chip op amps in this product."-

Selling my trusty Topping D90, AKM 4499 Balanced DAC. This has served me very well as a mid-tier setup paired with a Drop THX 789. They were used with Focal Utopia's and HiFi-man 1000-V2 headphones, and a 7Hz planar IEM. A Singxer SU-2 USB bridge was later added to try to match a endgame system. It produces amazing clarity with a non-existant noise flow. It's quite punchy and quick too, caters well for metal/hard rock. However well recorded Jazz/Classical sounds amazing, literally here string vibrations bouncing off walls. Bad recordings do get found out. There are lots of great reviews out there, this being on point: https://soundnews.net/sources/dacs/topping-d90-mqa-review-majestic-quick-accurate/ Heaps of interfaces: USB (XMOS XU208) Coaxial AES I2S (I use this for the Singxer USB bridge) BT 5.0 (works well too) Balanced XLR (this is used with the thx 789) For more specs, check any site selling the D90 (https://www.audiophonics.fr/en/dac-with-volume/topping-d90-balanced-dac-ak4499-xmos-xu208-i2s-32bit-768khz-dsd512-bluetooth-50-black-p-14281.html) Original box, remote control and BT antenna are included. Power cable is not the original but is included. I'm also selling the Drop THX 789 and the Singxer-SU2, PM me if you like the whole setup. Selling as I've now upgraded to a end-game setup, and this setup is sadly not being used.
