Apple iPad Pro 11-inch (4th Generation) M2 256GB Silver Absolutely beautiful condition iPad Pro 11-inch 256GB Silver iPad with AppleCare warranty until November 2024. Comes complete with box, and all accessories and paperwork are brand new and unused. Current generation model, with the fastest CPU available; Apple silicon M2. The iPad itself has been in a protective case its entire life, though there is a micro abrasion on the back Apple logo, which was near impossible to photograph (but I tried). The unit has been replaced reset and is ready for its new home. Plenty of photos provided but message if you have any questions.
  1. Further Information: Last chance. I'm selling my 2021 Apple MacBook Air 13". It has the new-ish Apple Silicon M1 processor (with 8‑core CPU, 8‑core GPU and 16‑core Neural Engine). When purchased, I upgraded to the maximum of 16GB unified memory and I opted for the 1TB SSD. You'll likely never run out of space (I never did). It is in extremely good condition, as I've always looked after it. It's super compact, light, and the screen is bright and crispy clear. Its colour is "Space Grey". I have the original box, the original charger with a long USB-C charging cable. Shipping fee not included (express + insurance), which would be around $65 Australia-wide. If paying with PayPal, please use Friends&Family option. PayID also available.

Can be shipped or picked up within days; just waiting for the final backup to finish and then I'll remove Activation Lock and perform a total erase and reset.
  3. I just tried an interesting comparision: I used my Apple TV V1, which is connected via HDMI to my Denon HT system, versus using airplay to stream the same track, both Apple lossless format, to my Denon system from my Macbook Retina. The airplay version actually sounded better! Now I know there are many confounding variables, but I wonder what the experience is for other users of Hard Disk based Music playback?
  4. Now that I've got an Elektra Theatron amp in the HT things are sounding awesome, can't wait to go to the next level with a new HT pre/pro in the next few months. I've borrowed my parents CD player and hooked it up via analogue and am loving listening to CDs compared to via my Oppo 93 via digital but... 1; I have to give the CD player back, and soon 2; I don't have somewhere within the room to store all my CD's. Even DVD's will soon be sent to the under staircase storage area. I'm trying to decide whether I should invest in a CD player or go to a music streaming device such as a Sonos Connect. I'll more than likely buy an Integra DHC 80.3 pre/pro for the HT which, like my Oppo, has streaming capabilities, but I'm told I'm better off with a dedicated device. Are they up to the quality of a half decent CD player of similar budget, ie $500? I often find it hard to sit through an entire CD unless it's on in the background while I'm surfing the net or reading. I'm not particularly interested in streaming video so don't really need a Dune type of device. Sonos would also be the idiot proof way of setting up an alfresco music system down the track (via a Sonos Amp and outdoor speakers) that SWMBO could actually operate. Most of my music collection is already ripped to iTunes in lossless format but I do need to go back and rip about 80 CD's because I originally tried to save HDD space by ripping in low bit rate mp3 format when I bought an iPod Photo... remember them? I have a ATV 2 in the family room (we are a bit of an Apple household, iPhones/iMacs/Macbook Air) and SWMBO can use that but for some reason it's flaky with it's connection to the home sharing facility. It's improved with more recent firmware upgrades but still not foolproof.
  5. As you may know, I have a Marantz NA 11 s1, and I am keen to explore my itunes collection and make use of the USB port to stream music. There are so many choices such as jriver, Audionirvana Plus, etc Can someone recommend something that has: Simple user interface Can playback all the known music formats and do it well Not frightfully expensive No extra drivers needed I am using a Macbook pro with OS 10.7, an external HDD, and the above mentioned DAC. Thank you
  6. Greetings SNA, Have been lurking for a while, a privilege to join such a knowledgeable and friendly bunch of folk. My setup is Mac Mini with Audirvana Plus, all flac'd on an 18tb NAS, & optically dac'd through an M1. In the future am interested to upgrade the amazing sounding miniwat to something that will solicit comment from the neighbours.
  7. Hi, I'm current running a PC as my source, which feeds a John Kenny modded hiface, then onto the DAC etc. I'm running Windows, which I've (conservatively) stripped back so that not too many system processes are interrupting music playback (this made a significant difference btw). My playback software is Winamp at the moment, for convenience and user-friendliness, and also because it's free, but for obvious SQ reasons I'm looking to upgrade... It seems that the obvious choice for PC audio is J-River + J-Play, which will cost c. $170 to purchase. I'm happy to pay that amount for better SQ, but before I make the purchases I thought I'd canvass the other possibilities, and in particular the Apple option. I know a lot of SNA members are using Mac Minis running programs like Audirvana. So my question is, in terms of raw SQ, has anyone got opinions (preferably from personal experience) on what will give me better performance out of: - PC running stripped-back Windows, J-River and J-Play - Mac Mini running audio playback software of equivalent quality - Any other hardware/software combo I may have overlooked One qualifier is that the playback software needs to be able to organise the music in a reasonably usable library. A digital upsampling volume control would also be a nice feature. Thanks for your input!
  8. Hi all, It's been a while since I dabbled with home audio so I'm a bit out of date. I'm helping my parents with a simple setup in their bedroom and these are the core components: Samsung Series 6 TV Apple TV Two speakers Here are the two primary use-cases: 1. Watch TV (standard tuner) or watch the Apple TV. In either even the sound will go via the television. 2. Steam music to the AppleTV via AirPlay. In the latter situation, it'd be ideal not to have to turn the TV on. I don't think I need an A/V Receiver at all as there are so few components but I do need something to drive the two speakers. Here's what I currently have in mind: Apple TV (HDMI) -> Samsung via HDMI (handles audio and video unless I'm much mistaken) Samsung -> AudioSource AMP100 or similar Apple TV (TOSLINK out) -> AudioSourceAMP100 Input 2 If this setup sounds logical, I'd appreciate advice on: A. Does anyone have experience with the AudioSource AMP series, is it any good? B. When watching the Apple TV (not listening) the AudioSource will receive the same output from the Apple TV direct and via the Samsung. Will the two input system on the AudioSource work in such a way that Input 1 will be prioritised and it'll ignore Input 2 (this sounds too good to be true). Thanks all! Chris
  9. Looks like new iPhone is now clutz-proof so can be dropped in toilet anytime without damage. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3778252/It-s-Apple-s-launch-waterproof-wireless-iPhone-7-NO-headphone-jack-kicks-off.html?ito=social-facebook Other features include built in stereo speakers but "controversially" no 3.5mm headphone jack Wireless ear-buds -i am very skeptical about wireless in terms of sound reproduction. thoughts?
  10. Don't know how to explain this but here goes. I have an Anthem 720 together with 7.1 speakers plus a Panasonic TV plus just purchased an Apple 4K TV device. Netflix via the TV and the Anthem the sound is awesome, and when I press the mode button it says it is playing in surround sound. Netflix via the Apple 4K TV it says Dolby Atmos but the sound is no where as good. It stutters and sounds awful and you have to turn the volume up so much to get anywhere close to the same via Netflix on my TV. Any ideas what this could be? Cheers
  11. I have a Panasonic 4k UHD TV but the interface and app support is poor. Thinking of getting either an Apple 4K TV or a Roku Ultra 2019 model. For streaming music and movies, what would you recommend and why. I have watched a number of reviews but cannot choose one of the other at the moment. Cheers
