  1. Further Information: Selling a set of Wharfedale diamond 225 speakers, very well reviewed speakers, great for a nice stereo set up or theatre, very nice sound, comes with manuals and stick on feet, had them for less than 3 months.
  2. Further Information: Purchased 3 months ago - absolutely brilliant speakers. Sound good with everything, easy to listen to, and with great bass heft. Only considering selling these as I have gotten hooked on DIY audio and I want to fund a new DIY project. All original packaging and boxing. 4 large heavy boxes, shipping will be at buyers expense. I'd prefer local pickup, but happy to accomodate shipping if required. Official specs and links to reviews here; https://www.wharfedale.co.uk/linton-heritage/
  3. Further Information: I bought these new in June after reading and watching innumerable positive reviews. They've been used lightly during the burn-in process and would now have about 100 hours on them. They're gorgeous, and the only reason I'm selling is I've found a pair of rare (in Australia) omni speakers that I've been searching for for years. They look absolutely mint, come from a non-smoking home, and will be packed exactly as I received them. The grilles have never been removed. Ideally pick-up from Sans Souci, but can deliver within a 50km radius for petrol and tolls. If you're further away and really, really want them, I can help with shipping at your expense. Thanks David
  4. Further information: Wharfedale Walnut Lintons. Only purchased in August amazing speakers for the price but my wife didn’t realise how large they are and wants them gone. They are in perfect condition. We have second child on the way , space and safety are our priority. I can ship but will be at buyers risk- Cost $2300. Pick up price $2180 if picked up from Keysborough Or Mt Eliza Vic. cheers Photos: PLEASE READ If you include any reference to pricing whatsoever in this section (excluding RRP), your ad will not be approved If you are advertising multiple items, you must post one bulk price only, or post seperate ads for each item If you don't include photographs of the actual item being sold, your ad will not be approved You understand that upon successful sale of your item it is expected you pay Seller's Fees. - if you have previously sold items and not made a contribution, your advertisement may not be approved.
  5. Melbourne Audio Club monthly meeting: Wednesday 21st August, 8PM Audio Visual Revolution presents Wharfedale, Quad and NuForce 8pm Wednesday 21st August, visitors welcome. Willis Room, City of Whitehorse Offices Maroondah Highway (Whitehorse Road), Nunawading Melway Map 48 Ref G9 Contact: 9437 1249 This month’s general meeting, we return to good old fashioned two channel audio, with a presentation from England’s most recognised names in hi- fi, Quad and Wharfedale. The Australian importers AVRevolution, will be demonstrating two systems. The first will comprise of a complete family of Quad electronics and matching speakers. The second, will be Wharfedale’s latest range of floorstanding speakers matched with a new name in hi-fi called Nu Force. The Quad system comprises of a CDP Elite player with the 180w Elite integrated amp powering the Quad 12L bookshelf speakers. These two-ways house a 165mm woofer made from woven Kevlar with a conventional 25mm tweeter. The CDP Elite is more than just a CD Player, it also features a digital pre-amp with a selection of digital coaxial and Toslink optical inputs, fixed and variable to accommodate six extra digital sources. System number two will feature the Wharfedale Jade 5 floorstander, a three way speaker comprising of a 25mm aluminium dome tweeter, a 75mm ‘alu-pulp’ cone midrange driver and two 165mm woofers. The bass drivers are made of ‘Acufiber’, said to marry the responsiveness of glass and carbon fibre materials with a self dampening woven matrix. The speaker box is formed of a composite material that Wharfedale calls Crystalam. ‘Aperiodic’ cabinet loading, is another feature designed into the box. This comprises an internal port that vents into a tuned slot, which is filled with a resistive porous foam. This type of loading reduces the bass overhang common to conventionally ported floorstanders. The NuForce IA-18 amplifier is a recent model that has just landed on the Australian market this month. This unit incorporates components used in NuForces celebrated Reference Series products’, such as the same circuitry used in the P-20 flagship pre-amplifier, and two NuForce V3 power amp modules. An Audiolab 8200 CD player will be the source for this system. The unit is market ed by the manufacturer as a DAC + CD with its multiple digital inputs including a USB connection that can accept 24-bit/96kHz High-resolution audio. As you can see from this selection of Hi-Fi components, we should have an enjoyable night. 6. Item: Wharfedale Delta 30 Speakers Location: Brisbane Price: $45 Item Condition: Cosmetically fair Mechanically very good Reason for selling: Not required Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only, EFT Extra Info: These speakers were the base model from Wharfedale made in the 80's. I acquired them around 1995 and used them for a few years as rears in a surround system (with AR 91's). I rarely watch movies to be honest so they haven't had a lot of playing time. The drivers and tweeters are are in excellent condition and the sound is clean and neutral and enough base to do the job in a small room. Would make good rears or office rig although I ran them today and blew the cobwebs out with a Yamaha AS 500 integrated amp and they held their own in a medium sized room. The covers and face of the speakers are in excellent cosmetic condition but the rear corners are little battered as you will see in the photos. Look great with the grills off. Wharfedale Delta W30 DESCRIPTION Another classic speaker made in Britain, two way, rear vented, thin chipboard, textile tweeter and paper woofer. That may conclude as cheap parts but... lets see how it sounds. SOUND For set which you can buy for Å20-30 they are quite good. Overall tonal balance is excellent in this price range. Best if placed on stands. Room size should not exceed 15 sqm.
