Hi all, I've recently been using WBT 0800 solder (leaded with 4% silver content) and find it pretty good to work with but it leaves a lot of flux residue. Does anyone here know if it's a no-clean type flux? I did clean up a couple of PCBs I soldered with it, using IPA, which did dissolve it but was quite some effort to get all the residue off. If it's safe to leave on I think I'd rather save myself the hassle. WBT don't publish any specs or provide any information other than "halogen free flux spares precious metal surfaces", which suggests to me that it can be left on. I've emailed them but have had no response at all. I gather it's a pretty popular solder though so hopefully somebody here knows the answer. Cheers

I have an assortment of genuine WBT crimp sleeves for making/repairing speaker cables. Most packs are unopened with the exception of the WBT-0435 pack. There are... 9 X 20 of the unlabelled sleeves. These don't have a part number on their packaging as from memory, they came in a bulk pack that was labelled on the outside. 1 x 100 WBT-0433 1 x 100 WBT-0434 1 x ??? of WBT-0435 (Originally ships as a pack of 200. It looks pretty full, but I'm sorry, but I'm not going to count them) Sold as a whole lot, only.

Further information: Bought these May 2021 used infrequently as where on a loudspeaker cable that was impractical length but sounded fantastic. Original boxes, price firm but includes standard shipping, insurance Aus wide and donation to SNA. Spades can be sold separately. The nextgen™ WBT-0610 Cu banana plug is delicately formed from pure copper, directly gold plated in a nickel-free finish to prevent oxidation. This ensures high conductivity and no magnetic interferences. The contact pin is shaped so that its three segments expand as the spindle is twisted in, so that it can be secured in any terminal type. The resulting constantly high contact pressure guarantees permanently low transition resistances. The nextgen™ banana connector also takes up less space when installed and allows equipment to be set up more compactly when space is at a premium. WBT-0610 Cu is also cable-friendly: the angle leads your cable directly to the ground and cannot be damaged through kinking. The nextgen™ WBT-0681 Cu 8mm copper spade connectors have signal conductors built from pure copper, and construction is centred on the minimal mass principle. The base body of the spade represents a nearly metal-free construction. You can thus enjoy a much more detailed and spacious sound! The key to the superb quality of this spade lies in the patented sandwich design of its contact fork: Elastomer oscillation dampers eliminate airborne noise and mechanical vibrations as well as magnetostrictions. This ensures almost total suppression of contact microphonics, and there is no interfering ancillary noise. The fracture resistance of the connection is improved at the same time. The sandwich design of the contact forks (sandwich spades) with elastomer inserted in a steel cap generates high and uniform contact pressure while minimising transition resistance. Four punched contact points on the bottom of the fork ensure precision contact. The quality of signal transmission is markedly improved, particularly with high currents or small voltages.
