Schiit - Saga Pre Amp This pre amp has been a fantastic introduction to tubes. The sound really opens up when the gain is introduced and makes it a pleasure to turn it up. OTK 6H8C tube. Further Information: Hi, up for sale is a prima-luna tube amp, this was the amp that introduced me to the sweet sound of EL34’s, great sounding amp, so much so I now have a tube pre-amp, solid state combo. super heavy well built, point to point hand wired, all tubes test well, lots of life, self biasing, regretful sale, but hey you can’t keep everything. Great way & great price to hear what all the fuss is about to get into tubes… I have the original box. Melody was probably one of the most underpriced brands in Hi-Fi Audio history. You will not find this model for sale anywhere because it is ABSOLUTE KEEPER. Melody is an extraordinary value for money. I had 3K AUD Melody tube amplifier which made dust of my Ayon Crossfire, costing 12K AUD. Further Information: Delivered in February 2022, I am the first owner of this hand-made, built-to-order tube amplifier from France. For a simple set up with reasonably efficient speakers (over 88 dB/W) this is a superb choice: fast, dynamic, clear sound with great staging and texture. 25W of Class A single-ended power per channel into 8 ohms. It's a great way to get into tube amplification at a step up from your usual starter low cost options. Point to point hand wired, it has a single pair of RCA inputs and a smooth, manual volume control: feed it straight from a source like a streamer, DAC or phono stage. It comes with a spare pair of KT120 tubes (with just 100 hours on them; some prefer them to the KT150s) and the original preamp/driver tubes, also as spares. I have upgraded (spending double what I paid on this) for an amp that also has 4 ohm taps that are a better match for my 4 ohm speakers. It is in virtually as new condition, with just a single, small 3mm mark on the polished metal top plate that I bet you couldn't spot if I hadn't just mentioned it. Further Information: Super fun and powerful amp, more suited to high impedance headphones but a pleasure to listen to on low impedance headphones as well. You will just need a DAC that can lower the input levels as this is very sensitive. Further Information: Stunning Australian built Micrex P-1 tube/Mosfet hybrid power amplifier. This is an older model with a Micrex label, but the company now operates as Supratek. I’ve owned it for about 5 years and it’s been my main amplifier in that time. Aside from changing an old fuse in the power cable socket it’s never skipped a beat. I’ve never changed tubes nor do have I tested them but they’re presently working fine. It’s in very good cosmetic condition. The solid timber panels have one or two tiny scuffs. The chrome will need a good wipe down/polish. There appears to be a few tiny spots of pitting in the chrome on the transformer covers, but only noticeable up close. Located in Dromana, Vic. Valve radios are fun. I own this superb sample that I have imported from Germany where it has been completely overhauled. The cabinet has been restored and a new cloth has been installed making this Philips look extremely beautiful and attractive. Two full range Philips speakers produce a romantic sound capable to fill in with music any average room. Expect open baffle warm sound from the late 60s.
