  1. Recently I started getting the error ' Track not available in your region' when using Spotify on my SBT. I use the Spotify plugin i.e. not the Triode version. The error occurs for some songs / albums found through a search. There can be a single copy in the results which won't play or multiple copies where one may play but not the others. I haven't had the problem running Spotify through a laptop. The error has coincided with me starting to use an iPad and SB controller app to control the SBT but this isn't a known cause based on other forums. There is a bit of talk about the problem out there but not much on a solution. Apparently the issue can also arise with the Triode plugin. The only thing I've ready that fixed the issue was ensuring the "Always Stream via Helper" option is enabled but I don't seem to be able to find this setting option Can anyone assist me with a solution. I'm also interested to know from those who prefer the Triode plugin over Spotify's. Thanks
  2. Item: Squeezebox touch and Linear PSU with Teddy Pardo regulator Location: Warrawee Price: $475 Item Condition: SBT 8/10, some minor marks on the front, with box, remote etc as new. Linear supply 1A rated has a USB power socket, made by me Reason for selling: Journey coming to an end Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: SBT need no intro, some pretty minor marks as shown in photos, otherwise as new. The PSU has a 30VA toroid, Rubycon 4700 filter cap, two power outlets, one being a USB socket, so it's easily able to be used either to power SBT or to power a USB/SPDIF converter such as Audiophilleo. There are plenty of people using these power supplies with very good results. You would struggle to get a better implementation, PSU is safety grounded and has an IEC inlet so any standard or custom power cord can be used. The original SBT PSU is also included. This is amongst the last of my audio setup, I'm jumping off the train, sorry to see it go. Pictures:
  3. G'day all I am having weird problems with my SBT, and I am wondering if others have a solution. I've had it for a while, but I only use it occasionally. When I select Random Songs to play, it says the song is Stopped. Hitting the Play button is futile. Sometimes if I select the Other button and select Play, it plays. But not always. Here's the biggy, Just now I got it it play, but it is playing a Rolling Stones song whilst the screen is showing a Miles Davis song is ticking over. Yes, I have tried turning it off, then turning it back on again. Software is up to date. Internet radio seems OK. BtW, I very recently added a DAC to my SBT. Mostly, I think the SBT has potential, but I can't say my relationship with has been stable. I've been effing about with it on-and-off for hours trying to figure it out. Very frustrating. So. Anyone got any useful tips? Graham

  5. I wanted to wait until these were a bit further along, but ed612313's dead SBT has pushed me to mention it. There is an open source movement to continue with Squeezebox technology and raise it to the next level. The guy that rewrote the SBT player software and kernel and released it as "EDO" is behind the player software, and a hardware platform is being 'certified' now by Squeezebox Hardware guru John Swenson. It is based on a low power, risc "wandboard" motherboard running a linux variant and the new player software. It has high quality low noise SPDIF and USB2 output (way higher quality and compatibility than the SBT). There is an optional DAC board that has been made for it, so it can output analog directly without the need for an external DAC, but the board is currently in beta. First reports are that the DAC sounds fantastic. The hardware and player software is available now and people are using it as a transport to connect to their DACs. So basically its currently a headless player which conforms to the Squeezebox environment, appears in any current web, iOS or Android controller, just like any Squeezbox, and it uses your current Squeezebox setup (server and networking) without modification. Its a bit bleeding edge at the moment but you can buy the board and install the player now - and it works. But it does not have a DAC available right now and an on screen GUI is not yet done for the device (so you need to use web or tablet controller). There is even a new music platform coming (written by the iPeng developer) to replace the Logitech server based internet radio stations, further cutting dependency on Logitech. 7. Hi All,, My SBT with the EDO app installed, is not lisitng my "DI-DSP" in the 'Digital Output' menu..?? I have tried all the sequences of rebooting tihngs in specific order,, but to no avail..?? My DI has its own power supply (DI-PSU), so "USB power issues" shouldn't be at play.. DI works fine on Coax with SBT.. It's been done many times,, so I know that the DI-DSP and SBT-EDO app is a really good combo.. But I cant get the SBT to recongnise my DI Am I misisng sometihng here Any ideas?? Thanks! CM
  8. I am using a SBT(EDO) >Audiophilleo 1 > Metrum combination, which works really well with recordings up to 24/96. Yesterday, I finally downloaded a 24/192 file from Linn records to test if my Metrum can go past the 176 mark. Presto.....the file plays, but the sound is in 'slow motion'! The SBT shows a sample rate of 192, but the Audiophilleo 1 display shows a sample rate 44. Is this simply because my Metrum DAC is limited to 176 and doesn't supporting high enough sample rates? Or is there something else going on here? Usually the Metrum dac's red indicator light comes on when it doesn't support a format....so I am kind of hoping there is another explanation for the 'slow motion' sound? Any ideas?
  9. I have two SBT units in my home, happily streaming music from by QNAP server to bedroom and study. Linear power supplies, reclockers etc. All was fine.... until.... 10. Anyone have a Teddy Pardo PSU for a SBT they would like to part with? Don't like my chances but thought I would ask the question before buying direct.
