Hi, I have a Jamo sub 300 that I am currently repairing due to the evil yellow glue. Once I am done repairing it and have removed all of that horrible glue so it lasts for a long time I am thinking of selling it depending on how much it is worth. How much do you think would be a fair price to sell it for? Although I haven't heard it yet I'd assume it would be relatively powerful as the driver has a rather large magnet on it and it does look quite nice. Specifications: http://www.jamo.com/speaker-lines/subwoofers/?sku=SUB300 Thanks, Ted.

Hi all- I'm a newbie when it comes to the tech specs (hoping to lean more from these forums) and keen to get off to a reasonable start with some advice on the speakers I have been eyeing off. I am a muso (guitarist and drummer) and appreciate fine quality music, however my main goal from this new setup is primarily for a Home Theatre, and keen to get a system which will deliver clear and punchy surround sound. I have been looking at a few Jamo speakers but haven't been able to find any store in Adelaide that stocks them to test them out. Does anyone have any information or experience with any of these models, and/or recommendations between the differing series? Any other similarly priced surround sound packages that will get bang for buck? Jamo S606HCS8 $2,300 rrp Jamo S608HCS8 $3,000 rrp Also I am open to the idea of a new receiver if its underpowered so keen to get an opinion on this too. I currently have an Onkyo TX-SR308. http://reviews.cnet....-33997667.html Many thanks guys & gals!

I currently have a basic to mid level 2 channel PC setup and I am thinking of adding a budget second hand subwoofer to increase range into the lower frequencies and enhance what I'm getting from my existing speakers. I live in an apartment with a small to medium size living room so I won't need much from a sub before I start getting complaints from my neighbours. I’m thinking that a 10 inch or lower sub will meet my requirements. Furthermore, it needs to fit within a cabinet with only 38cm in height which rules out anything larger. I don't watch a lot of movies so I'm looking for something that is better suited to playing music. My musical tastes are fairly diverse ranging from pop to classical and I occasionally listen to more bass heavy urban genres. I typically play high res music files using JRiver's Media Centre application which sends USB output to an external Topping E30 DAC into a pair of Monitor BX5s via a JAMO AVR-693. I don’t need wireless connectivity or many other functions but I’d prefer to have an auto on/off power function that doesn't have a secondary power outlet. I'll be placing the sub alongside my PC and AVR so I might need something with magnetic shielding but to be honest I'm not sure how important or relevant that type of feature is. I’d also prefer something that keeps things simple in terms of connectivity. I’m currently considering the Jamo SW250. This would only extend my frequency range from 36 Hz down to 30 Hz but I’m not sure how much lower I really need to go. Furthermore, it probably has a lot more power and drive than I need but that may not be such a bad thing and its still within my budget of up to $US200. If anyone one has some feedback on the Jamo SW250 or suggestions of other budget subs which might better suit my requirements I’d be very interested in hearing them. Cheers

Further Information: Selling my Jamo D6 Speakers as I have moved into a small house in WA. 3 LCR, 4 Surround speakers in perfect condition. Professionally installed and were wall mounted until I moved, currently sitting in a spare room in my parents house in Port Macquarie. No damage to any speakers and the mesh is completely intact on all. THX Ultra certified, sound brilliant. Will sorely miss the wall trembling gunshots of WWII films.
