They were a noticeable improvement (and frankly ought to be at the cost over the Clearway range). This was one of those purchases that initially made me suck-through-my-teeth as to whether I would genuinely see where the money had gone. My fears were assuaged very quickly; swapping backwards and forwards between the Clearways and the Shawlines using the same reference material, showed me that the Shawlines had a noticeable advantage with fuller mids and more sparkle on the highs. I've now gone in a different direction, but for someone on their own personal hi-fi pilgrimage that is reaching the curious stage where interconnects are the next area for investigation, this is a great upgrade. As with all of my pre-loved items, I am not looking to just flush them and forget; I am genuinely invested in making sure you're happy with the purchase and the price. I want the buyer to be delighted and to let me know their experience once they get the item home, settled-in to their system and listened to. These puppies are now at $400 RRP for a 1 metre pair.
