Item: Pair of Goodmans Midax 100 Horn Speakers. Location: Mornington, Vic. Price: $500 ono. Item Condition: Good for age. Reason for selling: Haven't used for a while Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: These very rare pieces work all well and in very good condition as can see in the photos.Great for HiFi and (this exact model) is very famous for being used by The Beatles in Vox amps specially designed for them so as to play loud enough over screaming girls.Very rare, especially in Australia. As I understand, the "100" was the best of the models, used by The Beatles and has a metal (larger/longer) horn whereas the lesser models had plastic and shorter (and probably less power handling). Also have a pair of Goodmans Trebax 100's if anyone's interested (1 needs new diaphragm).$500 ono. Looking for quick sale. Mornington, Vic. Pictures:

For sale is my recently-acquired NAKSA 100 power amp, fully assembled in the purpose-built aluminium enclosure. This unit is the same build as the one that digitalaudioreview.net reviewed here (it might even be the very same one) with twin power transformers for a true dual-mono configuration. Everything written in that review I have found to be true; this amp has a warmth/romanticism through the midrange that I've not experienced with solid state amplification before. It has excellent (sometimes scarily so) bass output, and the most wonderfully expansive soundstage I've ever heard from an amp. If there was ever an SS amp for tube lovers, this is it. It's with a tinge of sadness that I'm selling this; I'd keep it if I could. Reality (finances) however dictates that I must sell something, so the NAKSA is moving on to the next lucky owner. I'd own another one of these in the future without hesitation. The unit is in great condition, with no obvious marks or scratches to be seen. The previous owner shipped the amp to me in a custom box, and I will do the same for any interstate buyer. Price is $1600 pickup from Clayton or Southbank; shipping within Australia should be an additional $40. Auditions are welcome. I've attached the photos from digitalaudioreview.net - my unit is identical and in great condition:

Item: Paradigm Studio 100 V.5 (Negotiable on colour) Price Range: Up to $2200, depending on condition. Item Condition: New or Used (must be working) Extra Info: I bought my existing pair Paradigm Studio 100s (version 5) as they were being discontinued for $3200 (brand new) from Eastwood Hi-Fi back in 2015. I know people paid more for them when they were released back in 2009, and they're a great speaker (that's why I want another set). However, many sets of this design are getting toward a decade old (with unknown use/abuse/neglect), and yet I often see second-hand listing prices above my original purchase price. I'm sorry if this offends, but I can't rationalize that. It is not my intent to insult or devalue one's possessions, I am just happy to pay what I view is a fair price, based on what an Australian shop priced it at years ago. I live in Canberra, (not a public servant, so don't blame me for anything, hehe) but can travel to Sydney and other areas of NSW for inspection. I am no-nonsense, I turn up on time, I pay without fuss, and love a good chat about audio... which all of my purchases have ended up in doing... quite extensively. Ultimately, I'm just trying to complete my existing home theatre set up with matching speakers. I'm currently using a set of Paradigm Monitor 11s (v7) for my surrounds, but the transitions between the Studios and Monitors... highlight the differences in sound quite noticeably. I've also really gotten into pure audio disks which utilize the multi-channel setup. If anyone is interested, please let me know. Happy to accept/provide contact details through personal message to maintain privacy. Thanks for reading this, and have fun listening! Hamish.
