All speakers and sub-woofer in very good condition and rear surround speakers come complete with KEF speaker stands. Whilst they may now be a decade old, these speakers still have plenty of sound and will not disappoint. The KEF 3001 series are fantastic as they deliver a great movie and music experience, I recommend reading the reviews online about these speakers. The amplifier also is in very good condition, it boast plenty of power for a 7.2 channel amp (105 watts per channel for 2), has 3 HDMI inputs/1 HDMI output, upscaling to 1080p and is 2 zone capable. Also includes the Yamaha iPod dock which connects, plays and charges your Apple device. Purchased in 2008 from Eastwood Hi-Fi, all original manuals included. Any questions just let me know. These are the second largest floorstander in Kef's top of the line Reference series, released 1994 to 1999. This pair presents very well; is in excellent condition, has the more expensive Rosetta Burr finish - with only a couple of minor blemishes on the cabinets (see photos). Meticulously looked after since purchase - 3 years ago. IMO they are neutral, detailed, have a fantastic midrange, and produce quite astounding and tone-full bass when called for. Front ported design and Uni Q tweeter combination, makes them quite forgiving in terms of room placement, and provides a large sweet spot. 4 way, 5 driver Floorstanders 6.5" upper midrange with 1" Uni Q tweeter 6.5" midrange 2 x 8" bass drivers. Design - each bass driver is enclosed within an inter-ported cavity, and fire away from the each other. A vibration cancelling rod is placed between the two drivers. After much research I ended up auditioning some KEF LS50W speakers. They sounded good but weren't set up properly - no speaker stands and only bluetooth audio connection available. Right next to the KEFs were some Dynaudio XD 200. These were set up properly on stands and sounded better than the KEFs, but at a substantially higher price. After some more research looking at Dynaudio LYD 48. They are professional monitors but can be compared directly to the KEFs price-wise. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to audition the LYDs, but it looks like the formula they use isn't a million miles off from the XDs. Is there any reason I shouldn't explore using pro monitors for home use? Is there a reason the XD is twice the price of the LYD? Also I don't see any mention of the XD series on the forum, is a reason for that? Hopefully someone can shed some light for me at this confusing time!
