Further Information: Krix Centrix centre speaker This great Aussie made center speaker works perfectly, drivers (woofers and tweeter) look as-new. Finished in beautiful Australian Jarrah veneer in very good condition, but there’s a tiny hole in the grill mesh. I’m the original owner and still have the warranty card. Replacement cost for the smaller Graphix in Jarrah is $925. Pickup only from Gladesville (Ryde area) NSW.

Further Information: PRICE NEGOTIABLE! REVEL Performa C50 Centre Channel Speaker Outstanding centre channel speaker with well-controlled bass, very articulate speech, excellent musicality. Retail price was US$3000 when released (about AU$5000!) - Incredible bargain - see review below. You won't find a centre speaker with this quality and performance, anywhere near the price I'm asking! Note the astonishing on-axis and off-axis frequency response. SPECIFICATIONS Sensitivity: 90 dB SPL, with 2.83 Vrms @ 1 m (4 pi anechoic) Sensitivity provides an indication of how much amplifier power is required for the loudspeaker to play at satisfactory volume levels. This conservatively rated specification indicates high sensitivity and denotes that the REVEL PERFORMA C50 loudspeaker does not require huge amplifiers to achieve realistic levels in all but the largest rooms. Impedance: 5.7 ohms (nominal), 3.2 ohms (minimum) @ 200 Hz (stand position) Impedance indicates whether the speaker system presents a “hard” or “easy” load on the amplifier. A minimum impedance value of 3.2 ohms, together with moderate phase angles, signifies that any competently-designed amplifier can easily drive the REVEL PERFORMA C50 loudspeaker. Filters (Crossover): 3-way, high-order, acoustic response at 260 Hz and 2.1 kHz The steep filter slopes ensure good acoustical behavior in the crossover regions, with a minimum of acoustical interference, along with low distortion and wide dynamic range. The filters feature specially selected components. Woofer and tweeter filter boards are physically independent. Frequency Responses: In-Room Response; ±1.0 dB from 80 Hz to 18 kHz In-room response is a breakthrough measurement that, in a single curve, closely correlates to sound quality and has been a goal of loudspeaker engineers for years. Research, and simple observation, reveals that ubiquitous “on-axis” response curves often cannot distinguish between two loudspeakers with radically different sound quality. This REVEL PERFORMA C50 loudspeaker specification is even more powerful when it is taken in context with the other measurements presented here. In-Room Response Relative to Target Response; ±0.75 dB from 90 Hz to 16 kHz A target response is the ideal response goal and is not flat at the frequency extremes and is used when the ideal reference is not a “flat” line. A target response must be tailored to the loudspeaker’s intended application and takes into account the acoustic impact of the loudspeaker’s location, such as freestanding, or placement near a wall. First-Reflections Response; ±1.0 dB from 80 Hz to 16 kHz First reflection response is a measure of the response a listener hears that is contributed by the first reflections from the walls, floor, and ceiling. This superb specification indicates that REVEL PERFORMA C50 loudspeaker will remain accurate, even in the presence of strong reflections. Listening Window Response; ±1.0 dB from 70 Hz to 18 kHz This improved “on-axis” measurement reduces the visual confusion of inaudible local interference, yet still retains full accuracy without using “spectral smoothing” which results in significant data loss. Low Frequency Extension; -3 dB @ 62 Hz (-6 dB @ 50 Hz, -10 dB @ 38 Hz) Studies have shown that the -10 dB low frequency extension specification is the one that best correlates to controlled listening tests. At low frequencies, most loudspeaker/room combinations will exhibit significant “room gain”, which is an increasing rise in level as frequencies decrease. In addition, the -10 dB specification reflects the steepness (i.e., order) of the low-frequency roll-off, which is not significantly indicated in -3 dB specifications. Dimensions: 10 3⁄ 8"H x 26 1⁄ 4" W x 10 15⁄ 16" D 270 mm H x 667 mm W x 278 mm D (including feet and grille) Weight: 36 lb (16.3 kg) net NOTE: No original packaging. Shipping will be quite expensive - probably 20kg packaged up. Pickup greatly preferred. pdf owner manual: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WKuq43ubfLueRjJDZJBvTivpWuLLRvTu/view?usp=sharing 5-star review: http://www.audioreview.com/product/speakers/center-channels/revel/c50.html Note that the plastic shell of the front grill broke and has been glued back together (see photos). I always used the speaker with the grill off anyway and expect you will too. The three feet can be unscrewed if preferred.

Further information: Bought a few years ago from this forum, this centre channel has been providing effortless volume and dynamics for a number of years. Only selling as I'm moving somewhere too small for this 27kg behemoth. Already packed up the stereo, so unable to test, sorry! Pick up only for obvious reasons! Original add...

Some information can be found on the Adelaide Speakers Ascension website, but I think this centre was custom made to match my Summoners, so it can't be found there. Fantastic sounding centre, but I'm downsizing my system and looking to try something new - I either have to get rid of this centre, or get rid of my TV and buy a projecter, haha. Shipping available at buyer's expense. Happy to negotiate on price privately, within reason. L283TQ Trio Centre: 240 wrms / 8 ohm 24x121x30cm The following is from the similar but not identical 283SQ, so would differ in some way from what I have. Frequency Response: 40 -- 30,000 Hertz +/-2dB Sensitivity: 92dB 1w/1m Drivers: 2 x 205mm long throw, high power wood and fibre cone bass drivers; 2 x 5 inch SB Acoustics midrange; wave guide tweeter Description: Large, powerful and efficient high end 3-way centre; good low end bass, voice projection and dynamic sound stage ; similar driver set-up and crossover as some Timberwolf series floorstanding speakers such as the 8883.

This is the matching centre-channel speaker for the tower pair also for sale here on SN. Same basic story: Dad is relocating to a retirement home, and this one needs to go to a new home. Excellent used condition. This is a 'Made in UK' units (Coatbridge factory) from the period when Tannoy was owned by TC Electronic (before the sad takeover by what is now known as Music Tribe). Driver complement is: 1 x 6" DC mid+high driver (Dual Concentric => compression tweeter is embedded in the centre of the larger driver, fed by the 'tulip waveguide') 1 x 6" mid/low driver 1 x 6" passive radiator. Speaker: can be bi-wired (single-wiring links are installed) has lovely magnetically-attached grille comes with matching stand to allow it to be placed on a flat surface (curved sides, remember!) is finished in Espresso (very dark brown) veneer on beautiful curve-sided (top and bottom when in 'landscape' orientation) cabinet is in excellent condition! Dad did not keep the boxes for these, and they are very heavy speakers (not your common-or-garden light weight cabinets), so it won't be possible for me to box and ship them - they'd break loose from anything I could configure.

Hi All, This is perhaps an odd time to be asking this, since the Studio line is being phased out. I have a Paradigm Studio v.5 setup, (Studio 100s, and 20s for surrounds)... but I'm asking now because I've got an opportunity to buy the CC-690 for a reasonable discount before they entirely disappear. Before I "jump the gun" I've been looking for an auditioned comparison between the three centre speakers, and it's nigh-on impossible to find online. Has anyone compared the three centres against one another? Would anyone like to share their thoughts? I've heard the CC-590 (at length.... thanks to a friend's gracious hospitality and willingness to loan me his) and I found it to be articulate, and very good match for the 100s, it's certainly not a slouch, but it had a little less impact at higher volumes in my somewhat cavernous living room. What are the sonic differences between the models? I'd expect better bass from the 690, I don't know if the 490 would work as nicely with the floor standers. From what I've read online, the 490 was aimed for folks running the non-floorstanders as fronts/surrounds. Does anyone have the 690? I'd like to hear your thoughts, and why you chose that one. I can get the 590 a little cheaper, but I don't want to regret my purchase.. but if I do buy the 690, it would be extremely difficult to audition before purchase. All help will be greatly appreciated! All the best! Hamish.

Looking for a centre, sub and surrounds in Cherry to add to my Paradigm Studio 100s. Thinking about a CC-590, Sub 12 and Studio 10s. I'm in Sydney and happy to travel reasonable distance.
