  1. yes I'm a big Dr Who fan and the Dalek looks of the Yvette has hooked me abit. I know it should all be just about the SQ but at this price one is also buying brand presence and appearance...
  2. Does anyone have some thoughts on what outperforms a pair of Wilson Audio Yvettes and at what price? Are there any comments about the ownership experience of a mid range pair of Wilson Audio in a city like Melb?
  3. Hi fellow audiophiles, I’m the proud owner of some new Osborn Eclipse Reference Elite speakers which I waited months for due to the shortages of materials. First time I’ve entered the province of true Hifi. Never heard a realistic brass instrument in my room before! Osborn’s speakers are amazing for the money but I’ve never had the pleasure of auditioning anything from a dealer in the $30k+ range. Does anyone know how much one would need to spend on a branded pair of speakers to equal an Osborn? Is it still up to “20 times more” as claimed in his website or is that from the glory days of the Sultan and tech has moved on? I wonder if speaker tech is pretty much mature Vs electronics. Cheers
  4. Further information: Lossless way of switching your Hifi sources through XLR. I now switch with my preamp and bought in error. Never used. Cost $210 on Kogan delivered and $170 on Amazon. 5. That’s good to know. I expect it will prob get worse with time. Age is the enemy of the audiophile!
  6. Real shame to sell a brand new unit at such a loss. But with my slightly dodgy left ear, I need a preamp with balance control. C’est La Vie
  7. Further information: Brilliant speakers for price. Now almost $4500 new. Bought new from Eastwood Hifi in 2018 with balance of 5 year warranty. Will provide original purchase invoice. Excellent condition with barely a scratch. Woofer surrounds in great condition. AMT tweeters like brand new. Check out these glowing reviews: https://hometheaterhifi.com/reviews/speaker/floor-standing/martinlogan-motion-40-floorstanding-speakers-review/amp/ https://hometheaterreview.com/martinlogan-motion-40-loudspeakers-reviewed/ I don’t have the original boxes and will have them professionally packed and insured by Pack N Send covered at this price. Discount of $400 if local pickup.
