  1. I'd look into the new Powernode - I only hear good things about this from reviewers and although it is $1,500, you will not need to purchase a separate DAC, streamer (plus it has HDMI eARC with Dolby) so that's a future saving of $1,000 plus on a complete system. As always, have a listen for yourself if possible before purchasing!
  2. Also for that space, may I suggest you look into the PB1000 pro instead? It'll definitely pressurise the room better.
  3. Contrary to popular belief, I've found that power is not that important for LS50 Metas. My 50w Brio drives them much, much louder than my 120w 851a. I auditioned the 1572, Marantz 8006, Arcam SA20 and Cambridge 851a. Of those, I think the SA20 sounded the best especially for the price. 8006 a bit lean for my taste, 1572 really nice but lacking details (to me), SA20 and 851a both a more full bodied and "neutral" sounding although a bit harsh until the Metas have broken in. While I'm not ordinarily a big believer in break in, mine have really warmed up and all the excessive sibilance I expe
  4. Rotel 1572 is fine, but it lacks a bit of top end detail. Pretty relaxing listen. I doubt you'd find a used H190 under 3,800 though...
  5. Further information: Brilliant Rega Brio, in perfect condition. All original boxes and documents included, still under warranty. 6. Hi there - I'm looking for a subwoofer to pair with LS50 Metas in my open plan living room (45ish square metres, but much bigger cubed due to open staircase and void). My current short-list is the KEF R400b, REL T7i and PB-1000pro based on price (close to $1,000 at a combination of new and used). The appeal of the R400b is it looks like a cut price KF62 (as it's predecessor) but have only seen mixed reviews. The PB1000 pro looks the be by far the best on specs and the app is very important for me. The REL T7i gets good feedback but it's specs seem underwhelming.
  7. Does the high level out have a corresponding high pass filter? Doesn't seem like it from the manual but can't think of why else they'd include these outputs
  8. Hi there do you know much it would be to ship these safely to Sydney? Best Jake
  9. There's one on Gumtree in Sydney if that helps!

  11. Further information: Less than a month old, in perfect condition. Come with a 5 year warranty. Brilliant speakers, but I'm thinking of another solution for my enormous open plan living room (90m).
