  1. iFi audio ZEN Blue High-Resolution Wireless Streamer (Not the newer V2) https://www.minidisc.com.au/ifi-zen-blue-wireless-bluetooth-streamer I bought this on impulse from Addicted to Audio back in January 2021. It arrived promptly, but in the meantime I had decided on another solution. This is so new that I only opened the postpak it came in to take the photo below. It has never been taken out of the box, let alone used. I don't need it, so I'm finally getting around to moving it along. Pickup in West Footscray or postage to anywhere in Australia included in price. Donation to SNA upon successful sale.
  2. Further information: This is a great integrated amp for beginners or would suit a secondary setup nicely. https://www.intl.onkyo.com/products/hi-fi_components/amplifiers/a-9030/ Feel free to do a search for the model number here on the forums from when I was researching the replacement, and you will see that the general theme is that this amp punches well above its weight for the price. It has plenty of power and sounds great. You can see from the pics there are a couple of marks on the top, but it's in otherwise great, and is in very good condition - 7/10 - maybe 8 (I'm being conservative). I'm reasonably comfortable that inspection will impress. Has been used up until maybe two months ago and never missed a beat. I'm selling as I've upgraded. Frankly, if this had more modern connections I probably wouldn't have bothered with the upgrade. Perfectly functioning remote is included Price is firm Pickup in West Footscray (Melbourne). Shipping not available. Donation to SNA upon successful sale
  3. These have been spoken for, and collected. Thanks everyone for your interest.

  6. Further information: I have approximately 150 vinyl records that I do not require, so am happy to give them away - FREE OF CHARGE ( I can't seem to put ZERO in the price field above). I acquired them as part of a larger collection a little while back. It's quite a random assortment that consists of mostly recordings from the early 1960s to early 1970s. Genres include (in no particular order): Show-tunes, Classical, Crooners, "Easy Listening", Soundtracks.. etc. Lots that you'd find in an op-shop trawl but I'd argue most of these are in much better condition. Speaking of which, for their age, a large proportion are in surprisingly good condition and play really well. A small proportion have sleeves and no disc, and some the other way around. So yeah, it's a real mixed bag. If you have the time, inclination and space, you can have a bit of fun trawling through and perhaps listening to some stuff you might not normally choose. I will give them to the person who can collect soonest. No cherry picking, if you're interested you need to take them all. (You may want to bring boxes. I can help you bring them out to your car) Pickup is in West Footscray. Photos: See attached *Donation to SNA upon pickup
  7. Thank-you sir. I had found something, but not marked my post as such until now. Hope someone else can help you with your plasma. Cheers.
  8. There isn't enough discussion about cheese in my life. So I've set up a small Facebook group to remedy that. Not flogging anything, just sharing the love .... of cheese. Come join us! https://www.facebook.com/groups/melbournecheesehunters

  10. I'm in Melbourne and generally buy fish (inc Barramundi) from the Victoria Markets in the CBD.
  11. These all look great. Am in the market for something like this. Most that I see online look like they're perfect for single LPs, but not double LPs or gatefold - groove not wide enough
  12. It does, thank-you. I'm pleased with the discussion this has generated. Listener fatigue is something I keep reading about in reviews so was curious to explore a bit further. In my very limited experience I can sense a difference in how certain setups sound at higher volumes, and can definitely imagine being able to tolerate some for longer periods more than others. (Not that I'm blasting away at super high volumes for extended periods anymore - I'm more trying to enjoy the tunes at more moderate volumes, with the occasional blast for good measure or when the music really calls for it)
  13. It's more of a conceptual question. I keep reading reviews that say amp X can be listened to for hours without listener fatigue. So I'm looking to learn more about that (please and thank you)
  14. What does one look for in an amp to minimise listener fatigue?
