Hey guys,
I'm trying to connect my new HTPC to my Panny TX47P500H teev (some DTV old timers might remember them). I'm using component out, and trying to sync at 1080i. Unfortunately the nVidia card doesn't want to do 50hz which the panny insists on. Even with Powerstrip, i can't get the timing right. I've read various posts around the web that claim that nVidia cards just don't do 50hz at 1080i over component, and they just output 60hz anyway. There are lots of posts i can find with people claiming they have it at 50hz, but the all seem to be people with TV's that work with both freq's, so i am starting to believe the claims that the cards just don't do 50hz.
Has anyone here had any success with a 50hz only TV at 1080i ? I'll buy whatever card i need to as atm i have a useless HTPC. I don't feel like buying a new TV as there is nothing wrong with the current one, and i can't really afford a 47" or larger plasma or LCD.
