  1. Big thanks to @HdB for sourcing an aftermarket switch for me. Sansui back in business
  2. Yeah, been messing with a Garrard the numbers just rolled out
  3. The 101 will be a tad under powered for the KHL’s and in my opinion too warm, I suggested the 401 as it has a lot more attack and will deliver the current to make the woofers do their best at larger range of volumes, it’s also an amp that will be suited to more speakers in the future. (Upgrade already) These are the only KHL’s I’ve heard but their design comes from the AR stable which can handle a lot of juice. They may come across too polite for some, there not big rock n roll speakers but the acoustic suspension design produces tremendous bass for their size if you feed them right. Not much available on line about the design but here’s a snippet Some of the best loudspeakers available fifty years later continue to use the acoustic suspension principle for high quality, low distortion bass reproduction. The small size of the high performance AR-1 permitted by the acoustic suspension design, helped usher in the age of stereophonic sound reproduction. Two bookshelf-sized loudspeakers were far more acceptable in a living room than the two refrigerator-sized boxes previously necessary to reproduce low frequency bass notes
  4. The Marantz Tase suggested is streaks ahead of the Rotel you are looking at
  5. Hi @Amydillo I have a few sets of vintage speakers looking for a home. They have all been refurbished and ready to go. Best of all you can have a listen and get an idea on their different flavours (house sound) PM me if your interested

  10. This was yours Ross! I got it off Greg. Your right lovely, I've had it side by side with the XXVI (also originally yours) and to me there's no sonic difference, XXVI has the benefit of loading. I've heard a VDH DDTII through it also, but for me the Benz Wood was the best match

  13. Purchased December 2019, first high end cart I’ve owned from new. Kept an accurate log of use and has 380 hours of play, possible few drunk nights where accounting may not have been up to scratch so let’s say accurate estimate. I have listed a phono stage that fits well with this cart and preference will be given for a local package deal. sorry no USB zoom camera Photos: PLEASE READ If you include any reference to pricing whatsoever in this section (excluding RRP), your ad will not be approved If you are advertising multiple items, you must post one bulk price only, or post seperate ads for each item If you don't include photographs of the actual item being sold, your ad will not be approved You understand that upon successful sale of your item it is expected you pay Seller's Fees. - if you have previously sold items and not made a contribution, your advertisement may not be approved.
