  1. Superb deal for someone. Don't forget, you are ALSO getting 6 (SIX!) discrete A/B amps with a total power of 600w per side. Add Beryllium tweeters + superb bass response + the ability to survive corner placement + an incredible level if discrete tweakability. Awesome speakers.
  2. Further information: Due to the purchase of a PS Audio DisrectStream Junior, my PS Audio Stellar GainCell DAC has to go. (Along with a Lindemann Audio Limetree Bridge – see separate ad.) The Stella is only about a year old, and was purchased new. It’s in immaculate condition, and it really is a superb DAC / Pre / Headphone amp. Current RRP = $2,895 @ Tivoli HiFi. There is a lot on the web about this baby, and the Stellar has been VERY well reviewed, and highly praised. They can explain much better than I can how good this baby is, and how flexibly it can be set up and used. https://hometheaterhifi.com/reviews/amplifier/preamplifier/ps-audio-stellar-gaincell-preamp-dac-review/ “The PS Audio Stellar GainCell preamp/DAC is a winner in every respect. It is an excellently built versatile preamplifier that can handle both the analogue and digital signal switching equally well. Not only that, but it can also serve as a very capable headphone amplifier. Its audiophile quality is obvious in every aspect of its sonic performance. Transparent, great tonal balance and good dynamics are some of the nice traits of the sonic characteristics of the GCD. As a DAC, it is capable of handling both PCM and DSD high-resolution music signals, which adds to its repertoire of capabilities. Considering that this versatile great-sounding product can be had for only (AU $2895), the GainCell preamp/DAC truly represents a great bargain in the hi-fi world. This is a must audition product for someone looking for modern affordable preamp/DAC. The Stellar DAC easily earns my highest recommendation!” http://www.enjoythemusic.com/magazine/equipment/1118/PS_Audio_Stellar_Gain_Cell_DAC_Review.htm “…it is one of the most analog sounding DACs I have listened to. Yet the resolution, even with 44.1kHz, is so high as to present an epic soundstage.” I have the original double-box, so posting it is no problem. Three pics are of the actual item, the others are stock. 3. I have an LS50 as a center speaker in my upstairs 5.1 system. Works an absolute TREAT! They are just prefect for the job.
  4. Further information: This little unit really is a luxury-grade Swiss Army Knife: 1) 1) A versatile asynchronous 24 bit/192k USB converter, featuring an XMOS based circuit, low-jitter clocks & multiple digital outputs. So use it to connect your laptop USB out to a DAC, while providing galvanic isolation to reduce noise. 2 2) Also contains its own high-quality Wolfson 24bit / 192khz DAC, so can connect direct via RCA to an integrated amp. 3 3) ALSO has it’s own volume control. So could act as DAC / Preamp to a power amp, or active speakers. 4 4) High grade parts, all AL case, and handcrafted in the USA 5 5) You can add a power supply if you like (5V 3Amp) BUT the USB power feed can run the whole unit. IS2 output x 2, S/PDIF out(convertor included) and RCA outs (for DAC / Pre function) USB in Optional power – add your own if you want. Excellent review in Stereophile: https://www.stereophile.com/content/channel-islands-audio-transient-mkii-amp-vdc1495-mkii-usb-da-processor-amp-power-supply Full details: https://ciaudio.com/product/transient-mkii-asynchronous-usb-converter Bought new only 14 months ago. Now redundant as I bought a PS Audio Directstream Jr which has its own bridge, so no longer using a laptop source. Current RRP approx. A$850. 5. At the risk of sounding like a heretic.....this version of that CD will NEVER wear out, can't be lost or damaged, will never get dirty, and is technically just as good, or maybe better. https://tidal.com/browse/album/34678872
  6. Further information: Very capable Class A/D stereo power amp (or monoblock) that pumps out 120W / channel into 8ohms, with peak power / channel at 280W. And if you have another STA-9 (or buy one) this can be set to run as a monoblock producing an astounding 290W / 8 ohms continuous, and over 300W peak. I have 2 of these, as I bought one to power the 2 x rears in a 5.1 system, and the other to monoblock at 290W for the Center speaker. But as I have since moved to Focal active FL / C / FR, this amp is now redundant. Great reviews on the net. Accepts BOTH XLR and RCA inputs. Small footprint and weighs less than 5kgs. I bought this near new around 8 months ago, and upgraded a few months after that, so it’s not had a lot of use. RRP new @ McCleans = $1,199 + shipping. I have the box, so posting is fine. Specs: https://nuprimeaudio.com/product/sta-9/?v=6cc98ba2045f Review: http://totallywired.co.nz/nuprime_sta_9.html (Note the TotallyWired article suggests using 2 STAs to bi-amp…something I didn’t try, but which they recommend as an option.) 8. Further information: Lindemann Audio (Denmark) Limetree Bridge. This is probably the best-value “low cost” roon-ready network bridge that you can add to your system. I purchased this just a few months back and found it both fantastic and bulletproof. The only reason I am selling it is because I just upgraded to a PSA DirectStream Junior – which already has a (less flexible, Ethernet-only) Bridge built-in. (Also for this reason selling my PS Audio Stellar DAC – see other ad.) The Limetree Bridge accepts both Wifi and Ethernet feeds (plus Bluetooth), and it easily controlled by a robust phone app…..or directly from roon. It runs up to 24Bit / 192khz, and can be set to double an incoming data frequency. It can also be throttled back so it’s compatible with older “low rate” DACs. Optical and Coax outputs, and handles Spotify Connect, Deezer, Qobuz, Tidal and is “roon-ready”. Appears as a device on control apps such as Bubble UPNP and others apps, so can access and stream NAS content. Still under warranty, and in immaculate condition with not a mark on it. I also have the original box, so posting is fine. RRP = $1,495 @ Miranda HiFi. Excellent review from Hans Beekhuyzen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFKOXTEcntM Lindemann website: https://lindemann-audio.de/products/limetree-series/bridge/?lang=en (PS: I believe this is “Bridge I”, not “Bridge II”, but I can’t find anywhere an explanation of what II does that I doesn’t. It seems to do all the things listed for Bridge II.) Note the 2 pics with box are of the item, the others are reference from the Net. 9. I think this also acts as a certified 'roon' endpoint - which is certainly a benefit for current use and future expansion. https://roonlabs.com/partners/bluesound
  10. No ****!!! Amazing! They were right...it just didn't sound as good as it should when the YouTube video played back through my computer speakers!!! It never ceases to amaze me that people put up YouTube videos to demonstrate how good their Hi-end system SOUNDS. It's like posting an out-of-focus, grainy, black & white picture, and then saying...."Jeez...its AMAZING when you see it in Hi-res technicolor!!"
  11. Further information: These are a really great pair of headphones. You probably won't find a pair of decent Bluetooth wireless cans that sound this good, for less $$$. Also can be used wired, if required. They are also fitted with V-moda after-market larger / plusher pads - and I'll also include the originals. These are mint, and barely used. My pain.....your gain!
