  1. You're right! Smart functionality would be the least of my worries. I also have yet to compare the ST60 to the F8500 however I don't think I could warrant the extra $900
  2. How is the A21? I'm currently looking for a power amp around the 4k mark. I've read quite a few good reviews on this but would like to know your first hand experience. Cheers, Laurence
  3. Just bought 2 records from JB in Maroochydore; Daft Punk - Random Access Memories and Queens of the Stone Age - Rated R (Rated X) They were in perfect condition and dead flat, though they are a bit more expensive than purchasing online, but I couldn't wait...
  4. Thanks for the replies! I've had a look at the oznow and will be ordering one tomorrow. Looks like a good product Cheers, Laurence
  5. Can anybody recommend a good stylus cleaner for a beginner?
  6. Hi all, this might be a silly question however after a bit of internet searching I have come to no real avail... My current set up is a Yamaha RX-A2020 Receiver with a Yamaha BD1020 Player connected via HDMI (Kordz EVO). Now I mostly watch Blu-Ray's but have been listening to a few CD's lately. What I would like to know is there much of an advantage playing CD's through RCA's as opposed to through HDMI? Is it worth spending the extra $$$ to get a decent pair of RCA's for 2 channel CD listening? Thanks, Laurence
  7. I actually bought that exact table 2 weeks ago! I must say I'm quite happy with it although I would have preferred if its RCA's weren't hardwired.
  8. Currently playing the album Amnesiac by Radiohead. Huge fan of them, I have all their vinyls Notice the album artwork in my display picture
  9. Are you talking about the store in the home maker centre? I might have to pay them a visit this weekend
  10. Thanks for the responses! I was walking through Myer yesterday and came across the ST60 50" the room was dim and low lit and I must say the TV looked great. Also glad to hear there is no buzzing. Looks like I'll go ahead with the 60" version. Cheers,
  11. Hi all, I'm in the market for a new TV and was after a bit of help (I'm a bit of a newb when it comes to TV's!) First of all I am in no rush whatsoever and I have about 2k saved. One TV that I have got my heart set on the Panasonic ST60 60". I'm leaning towards a plasma is because it will predominantly be used for movies in a low lit room is this correct? I have read a review on Cnet and it does seem like a great TV for the price. So I went down to the major retailers and when I saw the TV in person today and it seemed a bit dull compared to the LED LCD's. Now I know LED LCD's work we
  12. Chord Leyline 2 I've got this stuff throughout my whole system, website claims up to 15m without trouble. Not to mention about $10 per meter
  13. Thanks, I've only had it a week and haven't had a good chance to play around with it. Tho it does say it supports SACD, HDCD and FLAC files, cant wait to give it a go. It is a nice looking unit and looks gorgeous on top of the RX-A2020 (I've attached a dodgy quality picture)
  14. Hi everyone, I'm a long time lurker but new to the forum. I'm 22 years old and my audio interests started when I got my first car. Current gear.
