  1. Further information: One of the best MM cartridges I've ever owned. I purchased this cart new and it has less than 200 hours on it. A change in turntable set-up and phono-stage has unfortunately meant this cartridge is no longer being used. Original packaging, stylus guard and instruction manual are present. Apologies for less than stellar iPhone photos! Specifications: OPTIM FGS DIAMOND STYLUS Fritz Geiger Signature FREQUENCY RESPONSE 20Hz ~ 20KHz +/- 2dB CHANNEL SEPARATION 25dB (typical) at 1KHz COMPLIANCE VERT/LAT Approx. 18/18 um/mN OUTPUT VOLTAGE 3.8mV @ 3.54cm/sec TRACKING FORCE 1.7 - 1.8 Grams INPUT IMPEDANCE 47 k/Ohm CARTRIDGE WEIGHT 5.8 Grams Photos:
  2. Further information: The Epos M12.2 are a beautifully finished 2-way standmount (or bookshelf) speaker that are relatively easy to drive (8 ohms nominal impedance) and perform well with a broad range of amplifiers . These have rotated in and out of my main system in a reasonably large room (where they were able to create a convincing 3D soundstage) -- and have also done duty in a smaller study system where they equipped themselves equally well at closer proximity (and lower SPL). I've used them with valves (Weston Acoustics Topaz KT120, Manley Stingray) and solid state amps (ME25/850; vintage Marantz 2285b) and have been happy with the way they responded across the board. Even my son's humble Sansui AU-101 got them to boogie a bit. The pair are in very nice condition; only a couple of minor dings/scratches - the corners are all still nice and sharp. Photos:
  3. This sub is an international model featuring a power supply that can be set to 115V or 230V; as mentioned in the listing the only reason the box has been opened was to switch the unit to 230V and test it briefly. The photo was taken as the unit was removed from the packaging for the first (and only) time. Tested and working fine.
  4. Further information: This is a brand-new-in-box Gallo Acoustics TR-3D; only opened and unwrapped to be switched to Australian voltage and tested (working fine). It can be shipped double-boxed in the original box and carton (though shipping may be a little pricey as the unit is heavy). The TR3-D is the top of the Gallo sub line and features a 300W class D plate amp with a long-throw 10" driver in a metal cylindrical enclosure. Featuring high and low level inputs, pass through, variable cross-over, phase and bass boost switches. I use a pair of the earlier TR-3 subs in my main system - and they are excellent performers, very musical and flexible. I purchased this for another system plan that has not come to fruition. 5. These are relatively early 1600 references, that I believe Tony Moore built as the flagships that Nic reviewed (and ultimately bought). They share the original 1800 pyramid shape with the 1600 tall ribbon. They also feature the full size integrated (twin 8" driver) subwoofer (not a separate unit - for the poster asking).
  6. Further information: I purchased these from Nic Tatham - and I've enjoyed them over the past few years having driven them with both high-powered solid state amplifiers (ME 850 etc.) and valves (Weston Acoustics Topaz KT120). The Reference 1600s are extremely efficient (circa 96dB) and work well in different sized rooms. As per Nic's original review and confirmed by numerous accounts from other owners you can experience a truly life-like 3D rendering of performers emerging from the air in front of you for literally hours without fatigue. The integral subwoofer system also means the Reference 1600s don't compromise on delivering real bass grunt when needed. Irrespective of the type of music you like, the Ambience Reference 1600s will do an incredible job. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  7. Gee, you've gotta be quick around here! Congrats to the other party and if for whatever reason the sale falls through on the ME I'm standing by.
