  1. I couldn’t agree more! I would love to hold onto it but I have simplified my system to KEF LS50Ws and am heading overseas so it’s time to part ways with this beast. I could definitely see myself buying one again in future though. And that’s a very kind offer to provide a remote, I’m sure the new owner will be very interested to take you up on that.
  2. Further information: Remote is not available Some of the LEDs on the front display are not showing properly, but it is still possible to tell which mode it is in and where the volume is up to I have heard very occasional pops and crackles from this amp when operating for long periods during hot weather Amp can be plugged in to test, but audition is not possible as I have moved house and separated my components for sale Postage not available unless you organise for pickup and packaging to be done by courier. This amp is seriously heavy (30kg) and not recommended for postage Cosmetically the amp is in excellent condition The Jungson is an absolute beast. It has a real sense of weight and presence to its sound, which matches its 30kg weight. The sound quality is far beyond its price tag, this is an absolute steal at the price. The blue lights and VU meters look cool as heck too. It has four inputs, one of which is XLR, and one pre-out (RCA). Although the effortless power impressed me most about this amp, it makes a good preamp too. The volume control is a Jeff Rowland stepped attenuator, in 0.5db increments (the ideal amount). This amp is big – 470mm x 430 x 190 – so please make sure it would fit easily into your space. I say easily, because although it is not hot to touch, it exudes a lot of heat. That's because it runs in Class A (and B, contrary to much info on the net). This amp kills it when it comes to bass – it delivers full power down at 20hz. Australian Hi-Fi bench tests had it at 115 watts minimum, 125 peak for 8 ohm, scaling up for 4 and even 2 ohm. So it will run any speaker. And it's flat – only +-0.4db across the range, so the sound does not change with the volume. Speaker designer Troels Gravesen uses one of these in evaluating his designs. 3. Further information: If you haven't heard about the NAD M51, you must have been hiding under a rock. Widely reviewed and praised, with many claiming it punches far above its price point in terms of sound quality and features. Has pre-amp capability and HDMI connectivity so can tie numerous components together. Clean, crisp sound with plenty of warmth, energy and life. Easily the best DAC I've owned to date. Selling because I have moved to KEF LS50 Wireless speakers and no longer need a DAC. Praise for the NAD M51 from Stereophile "The M51 projected a rich, lovely sound that wasn't too forgiving, which was to its credit. I like to hear a recording's technical warts, if any." "I prefer DACs that reveal as much as possible about what was captured on the tape or in the digits, and couldn't care less about adding a rose-colored tint to dodgy digital sound. In this regard, the NAD M51 succeeds with a wonderfully detailed and revealing sound best described as honest, with a friendly smile. And it was a pleasure to listen to. 5. Further information: Cannot be posted, pickup only in Spring Hill QLD 4000. Featuring individually isolated shelves, the Norstone Bergen 2 gives your hi-fi the support it needs to sound its best. INDIVIDUALLY ISOLATED SHELVES FOR SUPERIOR SOUND QUALITY Each shelf, including the base shelf has its own set of dynamically balanced spikes and counter spikes for ideal mechanical isolation. Isolating each shelf has two main positive effects. Firstly, vibrations from, for example, an amplifier, won't be transmitted to more sensitive hi-fi components. Equally, vibrations from other sources within the room such as footfall, speakers, fish tank pumps and so on, will be suppressed, too. With vibrations successfully suppressed, you'll benefit from superior sound. Subtle detail comes to the fore and the bass sounds tighter and more focused. If you have a non-sprung turntable you should also find it more immune to mistracking caused by heavy footfall in the room. Finished in a smart gloss black with black shelves, the Norstone Bergen 2 is the ideal match for most hi-fi separates. With four shelves, of differing heights, it's also flexible enough to accept many system variations. Overall dimensions (W x H x D): 22 x 27.9 x 19.7" / 559 x 709 x 500 mm Shelf A - Top Shelf (W x D): 18.1 x 17.8" / 460 x 451 mm Thickness: 0.3" / 8 mm Maximum load: 66.1 lbs / 30 kg Shelf B (W x D): 18.1 x 17.8" / 460 x 451 mm Thickness: 0.3" / 8 mm Maximum load: 66.1 lbs / 30 kg Shelf C (W x D): 18.1 x 17.8" / 460 x 451 mm Thickness: 0.3" / 8 mm Maximum load: 66.1 lbs / 30 kg Shelf D (W x D): 18.1 x 17.8" / 460 x 451 mm Thickness: 0.3" / 8 mm Maximum load: 88.2 lbs / 40 kg Height between shelves: 7.2" / 182 mm - 7.2" / 182 mm - 9.5" / 242 mm Photos: PLEASE READ If you include any reference to pricing whatsoever in this section (excluding RRP), your ad will not be approved If you are advertising multiple items, you must post one bulk price only, or post seperate ads for each item If you don't include photographs of the actual item being sold, your ad will not be approved You understand that a reasonable donation for selling fees is expected upon successful sale of your item - if you have previously sold items and not made a donation, your advertisement may not be approved.
  6. I've got a Jungson JA88-D amp with a couple of issues and wondering if anyone in Brisbane can do repairs? First issue is the LED display on the front isn't correctly showing the numbers for input and volume. Second issue is it has started making an intermittent hissing / squealing / squelching noise when it has been left on for a while.
  7. No wonder Addicted to Audio didn't want to accept the return, they would have known the new model was imminent. A crappy situation for my friend indeed.
  8. I'm currently selling a Rega Brio-R, have a look at it here: http://www.stereo.net.au/forums/index.php?/topic/77284-fs-bris-rega-brio-r-integrated-amplifier/
  9. Thanks! I've had a few little nibbles but so far no-one has committed to the sale. It's still first in best dressed, and I don't think this will last long!
  10. Item: Assorted vinyl Location: Brisbane, QLD Price: See below Item Condition: All were bought brand new, see each item for specifics. Reason for selling: Doubles in my collection Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, or buyer pays postage costs. Extra info: All records were cleaned on a Okki Nokki RCM before first play and placed in brand new anti-static plastic sleeves (included). Pictures: See below. Thrice - Vheissu $30 2LP, 2014 repress with gold embossed cover, black vinyl Condition: Brand new and never played, still shrink-wrapped, but opened to confirm vinyl colour Brand New - The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me $30 2LP, 2014 Music on Vinyl repress, 180gm, black vinyl Condition: Played once, vinyl is in perfect condition. Unfortunately I tried to peel off the sticker on the front cover and it left behind some sticky residue. I tried to get the residue off which smudged the cover art a little (see photos below). To be honest, if I hadn't mentioned this, there's a 50% chance you wouldn't have noticed, but I have to disclose it. It's less obvious under most lighting conditions, but if you're looking for the cover art in perfect condition look elsewhere. If you just want to listen to this classic record, this is a bargain! Copies in Australia usually go for at $60+ on eBay. Jóhann Jóhannsson - Englaborn $15 SOLD Gatefold cover Condition: Perfect condition, played once.
  11. Item: Ortofon Blue 2M Blue cartridge and stylus Location: Brisbane, QLD Price: $50 Item Condition: I'm unsure of the exact condition of this unit, so it is priced accordingly. I have used it for around 100 hours, but I got it used from someone else who did not know how long it had been used for. It's in working condition, but I upgraded it because I wasn't happy with the sound quality. I don't know whether this was because the stylus tip was deteriorating, whether I just didn't like the sound, or whether I didn't have it set up properly. Since I upgraded 6 months ago it has been in storage so I'm just looking to pass it onto someone who might get some use out of it. Reason for selling: Unused Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal Extra info: Does not come with the original packaging, stylus guard or mounting screws. No warranty or returns. Pictures: See below.
  12. Item: Rega Brio-R integrated amplifier with built-in phono stage Location: Brisbane, QLD Price: SOLD $645 including door to door courier service anywhere in Australia Item Condition: Excellent condition, just over two years old, around 150 hours of light use in a smoke-free home Reason for selling: Upgraded to another amp Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal Extra Info: Pickup preferred, but will post. Pictures: See below. The Rega Brio-R needs no introduction. British-built and seriously weighty for its diminutive size, it shares the same aesthetic appeal as the Rega DAC that came before it. While only rated at 50W per channel (8 ohms, 73 watts into 4 ohms), according to Rega, the Brio-R is capable of reasonably driving outputs as low as 1.7 ohms. This unit can handle power-hungry speakers (think Magnepans, MartinLogans) that other amps in this price range would struggle with. On launch, John Darko called it "possibly the finest AU$1000 amplifier I’ve heard to date", and now you can pick one up for two-thirds of the original price. The phono stage in this amp is also a beauty. It wouldn't be terrible value to pick this amp up for the phono stage alone. Since upgrading from the Brio-R, I've been using it solely for its phono stage by using the included Record-Output to run into my new amp. Most integrated amps skimp on the phono stage, that is definitely not the case here. This unit comes with the remote, original box, and instruction manual. Contact me via PM to snap up this amp without delay. This unit has been listed elsewhere and may be withdrawn from sale without notice. Feel free to contact me via PM with any questions. Thanks! 13. Make an offer, my friend is keen to recoup something back from this mistaken purchase. His mistake is your gain!
