  1. Further information: This unit is very intuitive and simple to use as a streamer. It also has a great phono stage which made it a very versatile piece of kit. The unit is in very good condition, I think - I can't see any major marks. I bought this new from KlappAV at the beginning of 2020. For streaming I mainly used Roon and Spotify connect, but the Bluos app is good too. You can also make some adjustments on the fly with the app like changing the Dirac profile (I had one that was a bit bass boosted for when I was in the mood, and another that was super flat for when I was feeling like doing critical listening). I also had subwoofers integrated, and you can either include them or exclude them at will with the app which is useful too. My system has changed and I'm not using subs anymore (for now) so I am selling this to raise funds for the next thing. 2. Further information: Selling this unit that I picked up a few weeks ago. My Allo usbridge stopped working so I needed a replacement streamer. However I have now resolved the problem with the Allo so this is no longer required. It looks almost like new to me, functions perfectly and comes with box and original accessories. 3. Further information: I bought these from a fellow forum member last year for some lockdown entertainment. I used them for a while and found them quite good. Then I got Gary Cawsey to take a look at them for me. He recapped the crossovers and checked all the drivers. The tweeters and mids were all excellent but the woofers needed some work: the spider was deteriorated and the basket had some residue. All up I spent around $2000 on refurbishing. Both issues have been fixed and the speakers now sound excellent. All up I spent around $2000 on refurbishing. I'm happy to pass them along for the price I originally paid in the hope that someone else will enjoy some classic speakers. Consecutive serial numbers: 002689 and 002690 The veneer is rough in places - the speakers are showing their age a little. The grill cloth is good and the foam top is still springy. Some of the wire in in the grills has gotten a little bent and a couple of the struts in the woofer grill cover are loose. This could be easily fixed with a quick weld I imagine, but the gills still attach and look fine. I'll also include the speaker stands - these are just my own diy, based loosely on the sound anchors for this model. Pickup would obviously be ideal. I shipped them from Adelaide and it cost a couple of hundred. I could deliver to some parts of metro Melbourne, depending on lockdown restrictions. Happy to discuss options. It was a dream for me to own some iconic TOTL speakers from a classic era and I feel a bit mixed about moving them along. But they are pretty big and I just acquired some different giant old speakers. 4. Further information: I recently purchased this on the forums from LWA so I am reporting their description below. This unit is nice, but my movie room is tiny. I just wanted to experiment with an AVR in my setup, but I can't make it fit properly so I'll move it along at a further reduced price. I'd just like to clear the space so the price includes shipping. ------------------- Yamaha RX-V1900 AV receiver in Very good secondhand condition. Priced at $350 in the shop, for StereoNET friends, it's just $250 plus freight. What. A. Bargain. More about the RX-V1900 The RX-V1900 features four HDMI 1.3a inputs mated to a single HDMI monitor out. The RX-V1900 can upsample all signals to 1080p, whether analog or digital, and pass them through the single HDMI monitor out. It supports deep color and 120Hz/24Hz refresh rates, which is important, given the number of 120Hz displays that are coming out these days. The RX-V1900 has video processing by way of Anchor Bay and their VRS chipset, which is far superior (in my opinion) to Faroudja’s DCDi chips. There are numerous legacy connection options, all of which can be upscaled, though with four HDMI inputs on tap, you should be good for the time being. The RX-V1900 is satellite- and Internet radio-ready and even has Bluetooth compatibility. 5. Further information: Recently purchased this item from a fellow forum member. Exceptional sound quality. Looks like new: I can't see any marks on it. App is very intuitive and it operates seamlessly as a roon endpoint. I'm selling to find an upgrade and a re-jig of my setup. 6. Further information: It is in very good condition - some small marks here and there as you might expect in an older item. All parts: screws, grommets, weights etc are present and working properly. I spent around $170 on new van Damme cables with an original 4 pin connector. I'll also include the ortofon om5e cartridge that is currently in the headshell. I bought this from a fellow forum member about a year ago to complete a DIY Turntable experiment. It worked really well, but I have since bought a Technics SL1200 so this is no longer required. Will pack very carefully for shipping. 7. Yep- deeply regret selling my Martion Bullfrogs. I would buy them back if I could.
  8. Sorry I didn't see this question until now! The RME sounds better to me even though the EQ is not as finely calibrated as the Dirac in the NAD. However the NAD has streaming with roon and Spotify Connect as well as phono inputs which makes it a really useful box.
  9. Hi haha! I have the C88 on top of the B88 subwoofer. It doesn't feel good to have the subs on the floor because they are paper cones with no grill or cover. However I think I need to find a solution to isolate the subs a bit more because I think the vibrations between cabinets are smearing some frequencies. But yeah, the C88 are amazing for the price. I sold a pair of Devialet phantom to buy these and although they are much cheaper I found the sound to be much better. Compared to the Geithain, yes they are more noisy - you can hear the "rush" sound if you are very close. But from about 1m I can't hear it. I don't have the remote so I am just using the factory filters. For my purposes it's probably overkill to get into that level of finessing. I can do enough correction with the parametric EQ in the RME..
  10. Holy crap! Not too many studios have a "studio level" set up like this. Amazing :GLWTS!
  11. Yes, the algorithms are pretty great for finding new music - better than Tidal and Qobuz I find - and that keeps me coming back. It does feel bad about the royalties though. I buy vinyl of the albums that really appeal to me. I mostly use Spotify for background music while I work so in a way I am using it more lie a radio station. I will get the hifi option but definitely I would be happier if artists got more of the money.
