  1. Definitely get Steve Massey at QLD speaker repairs onto them, the only guy I've dealt with for the last 25 years that is consistent.
  2. Threads like these make me feel normal thanks. While I do like the appeal of trying out these monsters... I am finding 4x 18" Dayton Reference in DIY cabs are more than enough for a 50m2+ room and a Crown XTI 6002 to run them or 2x Hypex UCD2000 modules in custom build if you don't like fans. The Adelaide TL speakers are excellent in both sound and value. Another local manufacturer you can look at is Osborn speakers in Melbourne. Marc actually had a really nice set listed on here previously that would be ideal and you could add some more speakers onto that. https://www.osbornloudspeakers.com.au/ If you do decide to bring over those monsters from the US, we could split some pallet shipping costs as I am looking at getting some of the Marty flat pack cabinet kits over and more drivers, might be able to combine an order... https://shop.gsgad.com/
  3. Near new unit with just a few weeks use, in box with all books and manual + balance of 2YR warranty. Purchased for HD800S and already upgraded. Can run multiple headphones at once and also has balanced XLR output to feed external amp at the same time. Very versatile setup. Priced to sell without back and forth bargaining - free shipping included anywhere in Australia. Still selling for $1799 https://www.apollohifi.com.au/sennheiser-hdvd800-dac-headphone-amplifier.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwkIGKBhCxARIsAINMioI2SnPMwPTtiKHb9xvOexsxkL8faUPIqAKizcKbg5eHJuF1bxk9540aAuwHEALw_wcB Sennheiser HDVD800 Head Amp + DAC.pdf
  4. Thanks, Its actually a manufactured bamboo product - they call it Tiger. I did pick it as I am a big fan of Zebrano and it reminds me of that.
  5. As new Sennheiser HD800S + Genuine XLR 4 Pin Cable All box, manuals, receipt included and free shipping anywhere in Aus. HD800S $1899 CH800S Cable $479
  6. Bought on here for a computer setup for my son, but got him a headset instead now. Ran it for a few days with some LS50's and it has more than enough power to crank them up. 2x AUX Inputs, USB connector for DAC to PC, Subwoofer Out, 12v Trigger out and decent binding posts. Free shipping included anywhere in Aus. Paypal or Bank fine.
  7. Tannoy Definition DC10T These are one of my favourite speakers and I have been on the fence about parting with them for a long time now, but they are just sitting as I have too much other gear and they wont have a permanent place any time soon. They were $12k RRP and I have designed a replacement crossover that goes into the original place in the cabinet and takes up the same space by double stacking the boards. Keeping the original coils and upgrading all the caps and resistors to higher grade mundorf of same values. They also have upgraded isolation feet for hardwood floors and come with the original spikes for carpet aswell. I have original boxes and magnetic grills for shipping and they are in excellent condition overall, bar a minor blemish on one cone that has been repaired (there is a close up that shows it well, but you cannot see it from a couple of meters back) - hence the price. I have included courier freight in the price and will cover to any metro area including WA and SA, but if you are regional it may cost a little more. Obviously these are never going to be made again with Fyne taking over this line after the company sale/restructure - the Fyne F703 is the replacement for these and with an RRP of 19k, makes these look like a relative bargain.
  8. Aesthetix Janus - Signature Valve Preamp (MM/MC Phono Stage) 13k RRP Purchased from fellow SNA member earlier this year, excellent unit - but I am consolidating my system and this is no longer required in the new setup. One of the best phono pre's I have ever heard and very flexible config with balanced and SE outputs that can be used at same time for Bi/Tri amping setups. A couple of minor marks, hence the bargain price, but very hard to see unless up close and from the right angle. Original box, manual, remote and shipping anywhere in AUS included. Specs: https://nirvanasound.com/product/aesthetix-janus/ The Aesthetix Janus is a full-function all-tube preamplifier with six line level inputs and one phono input. The Janus represents the key features of Rhea phono stage and Calypso line stage combined into a single chassis. All tube amplification and output, a fully balanced line stage, discrete switched resistor volume control, versatile single-ended and balanced inputs and outputs, and dual-mono audio boards are all part of sophisticated Janus design. The full function remote controls all preamp and phono functions, including gain, loading, absolute phase and the internal demagnetiser. True to its Saturn Series heritage, the build and sound quality of Janus have won it global praise, including the 2010 and 2011 TAS Editor’s Choice Awards. The Janus has the following features: Fully balanced differential line-level circuitry with ability to internally balance a single ended input signal. RCA and XLR provided for each input. Discrete resistor volume control with 88 1dB steps. Zero feedback. Phono input: 40-75dB gain maximum, selectable via front panel or remote control. Built-in MC cartridge demagnetizer. 9 MC loading settings: 75-47,000 ohms, selectable via front panel or remote control. All tube amplification and output (12 tubes total). Two sets of XLR and two sets of RCA outputs per channel. Bypass mode for home theatre processor throughput. Absolute phase, selectable via front panel or remote control. Full function remote included. All of this attention to detail has resulted in a full-function preamplifier that transcends what is normally expected from an audiophile piece of equipment. The Janus scales heights that are normally the realm of uber-expensive products and it does it with ease. Sound quality is the prime objective here and the Janus is a phenomenal achievement. This value for money quality is spoken about in all the audio press and the Janus has accumulated many awards & accolades. These reasons are why Aesthetix products have developed a passionate following around the world. Old Listing Here:

  11. Purifi 400 "Eigentakt" stereo power amp including SIL990 opamps & Furutech connections RRP $4950 2x 260w 8ohm 2x 490w 4ohm 2x 570w 2ohm I have run it in for around 200hrs already so just setup and enjoy straight away with no run in time. Purifi ‘Eigentakt’ Amplifier Technology Purifi is a Danish technology company that has brought together several of the industry’s leading engineers to apply advanced mathematical modelling to solve the last remaining limitations of audio amplifiers. While there are many good sounding amplifiers on the market today, Purifi has taken a fresh look at every aspect of amplifier performance and found many seemingly small non-linearities that can make a dramatic difference in the overall sound. This return to first principles has resulted in a stunningly simple approach to some remarkably complex problems.
