  1. Thanks, everybody! I ended up buying the one I've linked to. I didn't want bigger, because it would be too imposing on the desk. Also spent the day working out how to best calibrate it using the Mac OS calibration tools, & I'm very happy with the result. Also, paid about half the listed price through the Dell eBay store (with 20% extra off the already discounted price), so nice monitor for not much. I don't know whether I just like the picture better because I customised it, or whether it really is better 🙂. https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/dell-27-4k-uhd-usb-c-monitor-s2722qc/apd/210-bccw/monitors-monitor-accessories
  2. I am running a lot of legal proceedings online on an Apple MacBook, using Teams mainly, but other video-conferencing systems as well. I need to be able to see the judges and witnesses properly, which can be difficult when there are three judges, and a long view of them, so they look pretty small! Hard to read the expressions on their faces. I am looking at good quality screens, probably 4K, and probably 27inches, maybe 34. I don't really have a budget in mind, but do want it to be USB-C preferably, or Thunderbolt. I am wondering about LG, Samsung. The one on the Apple Website, an LG, looks good, but I don't know whether it is still available, and it is very expensive ($1900). Any thoughts/experiences?
  3. I am trying to create a more professional result for my Zoom/Teams, etc conferences and legal hearings. I am using an Apple MacBook Pro, and also a MacBook Air. I am wondering about people's experience using mirrorless digital cameras as Webcams, keeping in mind compatibility with both Macs, and also the various conferencing systems (Teams, Zoom, Skype, etc). I'm assuming that the lens in a decent camera will get a much better result than the Webcams, because the lenses are a lot bigger. I'm happy to buy a camera, and I'm imagining I can get a good result spending between about $500-$1,000. So interested in image quality, and also ease of use in this application. Might post a separate thread about screens; I appear in legal proceedings, and need to be able to see the judges and witnesses properly, which can be difficult when there are three judges, and a long view of them, so they look pretty small! Hard to read the expressions on their faces. Though I'll post a separate thread, I'm happy to derail my own thread here by raising it here!
  4. Still the most pure expression of sound out there, brilliant for classical music. Good luck with the sale.
  5. I can vouch for the Audia Flight phono pre-amp. It is the best phono pre-amp I've ever owned. Only sold when I exited vinyl. Good luck with the sale!
  6. Welcome. I've had many Electrostatics over the years (including Quad 57s stacked, with Super Tweeters and subs) and still have Quad ESL2905s and some Martin Logan Renaissance speakers. I'm sure you'll find some useful info here.
  7. Welcome, Jaylon, I'm sure you'll get plenty of suggestions, and find something good in the classifieds as well!
  8. Hi Wingo, welcome, it would be great to hear a bit more about what is of interest to you.
  9. Beautiful! I heard these at Audio Connection. Best speakers I have ever heard. GLWTS.
