  1. A very flexible receiver though. With pre-outs and main-ins for all channels, it can be configured as a 4 zone stereo amp.
  2. Item: NAD T743 (not working) and NAD T753 (works with issues) Price Range: These have now been collected Item Condition: Used Extra Info: The T743 just stopped working one day, won't power on I think. The T753 is a bit more complicated. It has 2 faults: 1. The VFD screen goes blank after some time. 2. The rear channels don't always work. This could just be a faulty relay that needs replacing, so not an expensive repair if you know what you are doing and do it yourself I don't know if the parts are the same, but I guess it could be possible to use pa
  3. Hi, FYI I think the model number should be RX-396, without the "V". Looks to be in very nice condition. Good luck.
  4. Hi All I've been meaning to update my experience into the thread for a while and it seems like today is a good day. I purchased a MRX-510 from HifiExpress Ebay and it worked well apart from the fact it would shutdown when loud spikes in movies happened. If the receiver was unplugged for a while, it wouldn't happen again straight away, it could be hours or days, but it would happen again. Once the issue happened, I could unplug all devices expect one source and unplug all speakers, so there was no sound and it would still shut down when it got to the audio sp
  5. You can setup two inputs with the same source and have ARC on for one and off for the other if you want. Ben
  6. Hi guys Just bought an ex-demo mrx-510 during a recent ebay sale. Excellent condition, all setup and working well. I had taken this model home for a demo a while ago, but personal circumstances put the purchase on hold: My how time flies. That was 3 years ago. Anyway, I'm enjoying the upgrade after using a Yamaha rx-v1700 for the last year or so and NAD T753 before that. Ben
  7. Depending on what's wrong, it may be a cheap fix. I have an rx-v1700 that sometimes wouldn't come on and eventually stopped coming on at all. The fix was to replace a single capacitor with a $1 replacement from jaycar. More details can be found here: https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1386168 I'm fairly new to soldering, but was able to do it and it's still going strong now. Ben
  8. I know you've asked for large collections, but do you need any of the disks I am selling with my HD-E1? Ben
  9. Item: Toshiba HD-E1 HD-DVD player and 4 movies Location: Point Cook, Vic Price: $50 Item Condition: Very Good Reason for selling: Not being used, taking up room in cabinet Payment Method: Pickup - Cash (pickup only) Extra Info: The player is in very good condition and has been lighly used after purchase during the HD-DVD firesale, the remote has not really been used as a universal remote was used. The 4 HD-DVDs included that should be OK are: Terminator 2 Hot Fuzz The Bourne Ultimatum Shrek the Third There are also another 9 disks, but they Warner disks so are most likely suffering disk rot

  11. Just be aware that a lot of Warner HD-DVDs have gone bad over time. Some don't play at all, some get half way through before they stop. ben
