  1. Bruce Lipscombe is the legendary transformer/amplifier builder you’re thinking of I believe. GLWTS ’Nutz
  2. Possibly because they were marked as sold 5 years ago ?

  5. Further information: I’ll likely regret this, but I’ve decided to let them go. Amazing speakers & I've heard a few. Design, construction, sound are all absolutely superb. 35kg each of some of the most musical, accurate and impressive sound reproduction. The specs speak for themselves and I can attest to the bass performance. These speakers reproduce bass that’s tighter and deeper than many floorstanding speakers I’ve heard. Check out the test results in the reviews below! 25Hz +/- 3db. From a bookshelf ! Highs are airy, accurate and well dispersed - making these quite a room friendly speaker. This pair also come with factory stands that bolt to the speakers. The stands weigh around 30kg each. So you have a two way that together with the stand weighs in excess of 60kg. Spikes, speaker terminals, bolts are all stainless steel or alloy and are beautifully constructed and machined. Check out the pics. Original shipping boxes are included for the speakers, but not the stands sorry. Im happy to help with delivery to Pack & Send for shipping but from there they’re the sellers responsibility for packing & shipping. Ive prattled on enough. These are truly high end, rare and costly works of audio art. You rarely see them for sale. They were very expensive when new. RRP was about USD$12500.00 or AUD$19000.00 at the time. 6. Further information: These are the little (71kg) brother to the massive Quadral Tital & feature the same ribbon tweeter & midrange drivers, but with a smaller bass driver. Still good for 20hz though & you can feel every bit of it! Transmission Line Bass is simply superb & these are a very linear & balanced speaker. They image like crazy & are completely non-fatiguing to listen to. However, I now have 3 teenagers living here & my listening space is severely compromised. These are just too big for the area I have left. I purchased them a few months ago with a burnt out tweeter diaphragm. Unfortunately both tweeters turned out to be damaged. Almost $700 later and several hours work, these now have the correct tweeter diagrams installed & working perfectly. Crossover & terminal connections also resoldered & secured. They now play perfectly top to bottom. You will need a good high current amp to make these perform at their best. My ME850 did an excellent job. Plenty of reviews online & I believe these are the MKI version. They can also be single, bi-amped or even triple-amped if required. Pickup only please, or I can deliver to Pack & Send if needed. Couple of tiny scratches but nothing noticeable from more than a couple of feet. Beautiful gloss black finish. Grills in excellent condition. Very rare to find in Australia. 7. Further information: Excellent Dac with a beautiful musical sound quality. More “analogue” than “digital” (a good thing IMHO) Condition as seen & is missing a foot which I haven’t found yet Happy to post Australia wide & shipping is included in price. Many reviews online & highly rated against modern Dac’s.
