Further Information

World Audio Design 25T floorstanding loudspeakers.

These speakers, sold as a kit, were designed by Peter Comeau who created leading designs for Mission, Heybrook, Wharfdale, Quad and others and  is currently Director of Audio Design for the huge International Audio Group

The speakers use a SEAS 10" bass/mid driver and SEAS HF unit from the high end Excel line. It uses a split crossover so either loudspeaker cable with 4 connectors or bridging links will be needed for connection.

Only the HF unit is from the Excel line, not the mid bass.

The cabinet was constructed from marine grade  ply throughout, there is no mdf anywhere and is an aperiodic loaded cabinet, which is an interesting variation on a sealed box design. Basically the 10in driver is in its own compartment which vents to a lower sealed sealed section for improved bass response.

Selling as I have downsized to a retirement home and no longer have the luxury of a media room. They have been in storage for a couple of years and its time to move them on.

$250 which is only a small fraction of what it cost to build them, cash on pick-up only.

There is one small section on the back panel where the braces didn't compress the panels together fully during construction. I filled it and never bothered painting over my it, the gap was minute but I  filled it anyway and you can't see it unless standing behind the speaker. Obviously doesn't affect the speaker in any way.

I built them about 2010 and, at $250 are priced accordingly.

Coomba Park is a suburb in the Great Lakes area a bit out from Forster.
