TREVOR LEES "Slimline" pure vacuum-tube phono-only preamplifier
This is a hot-rodded "pure vinyl" version of the original, classic Trevor Lees "Slimline" vacuum-tube pre-amplifier. The Slimline was originally sold as a full-function pre-amplifier with moving coil phono, moving magnet phono and several line inputs available ("Auxiliary" e.g. CD or tuner etc.)

This particular Slimline has been modified to do one job only. It is a pure vacuum-tube moving magnet phono stage and line-stage combined. The moving coil and auxiliary functions have been removed, therefore removing numerous switches and a lot of wires from the signal path. It also allows for cleaning up of the internal component layout to minimise unwanted interactions. This Slimline is ideally suited to accept input from a quality moving magnet or other high-output pickup cartidge (e.g. moving iron and others) and to connect directly into a stand-alone stereo or dual mono power amplifier. High-quality wire and components have been used in all critical positions.

Power supply is external in a separate chassis connected by umbilical cords. This preamp is best matched to a power amplifier which has fairly high input impedance. If in doubt, contact me.

TREVOR LEES "Two-Tube" pure vacuum-tube moving coil pre-preamplifier
This is an improved version of the original, classic Trevor Lees "Two-Tube" moving coil pre-preamplifier (also refered to as a "head-amp"). This is a better design than the moving coil stage that was originally in the Slimline before the hot-rodding as mentioned above. Together with the simplified Slimline it makes a killer moving coil phono preamplifier combination.

This particular Two-Tube has been extensively re-worked over a long period of time to get improvements to sound wherever possible. Changes have mostly been improving the quality of various internal components and wiring, as well as optimising voltages where needed. Improvements include Sonicap and Mundorf capacitors, 1% metal-film resistors, extra noise filtration on the tube heater supplies and Zavfino-1877 litz point-to-point wiring. Also, this particular Two-Tube came equipped from new with the extra-cost dual-mono power supply which is in a separate chassis connected by umbilical cords.

Note that the strange mottled texture visible in the front panels under close inspection is a photographic anomaly (a reflection of the textured glass underneath the amps). The actual front panel is shiny gloss black in excellent condition. All cosmetics are excellent.

Pickup is available from Mudgegonga which is in N.E. Victoria near Myrtleford/Bright. I can deliver to Melbourne for $80. Delivery to other places not too far away would be by discussion. Postage is available within Australia and would cost between $70 and $120 depending on destination (the amps are quite heavy so cost more to post).
