Unison Research Unico CDE CD player with valve output stage and factory optional DAC upgrade.
This is a great sounding CD player, very smooth and analogue sounding to my ear. It’s got 4 x 12AX7 valves in the output stage. I would say it’s got the positives of the valve sound, smooth, holographic and airy, but not too much of a good thing as valves can be at times. I’ve really enjoyed it.
It has the optional factory DAC upgrade, and is in excellent functional and cosmetic condition. It is extremely well built with a very solid chassis. Remote included.
I’m listing for sale as I’ve become curious about trying a CD Transport with separate DAC.
I have the original box and inserts, so it can be shipped safely.
