Marantz model 2285b in WC-22 wooden case 240v model. Serial number suggests this is a 1978 build. I've owned it for 12 or so years and was in storage for half that time until a recent service by Tim at Tuned In Audio.

 

Scope of works.

"Amp module, tested output mosfets and they are all well within specs, cleaned amp board touched up all solder joints that were light or showing signs of degradation, and replaced all electrolytic caps, adjusted idle and bias setting with both channels balanced perfectly.

Tuner element, cleaned board and touched up all solder joints that were light or showing signs of degradation, tested functionality and carried out realignment of tuner and fine tuned FM channel separation, tested thoroughly with excellent results.

Controls, removed tone adjustment module and touched up all solder joints that were light or showing signs of degradation, chemically serviced all potentiometers and switches, chemically serviced input select switch and volume potentiometer with no ‘noise’ present on any adjustment."
