Just when you thought that cassettes were dead, (like most people did about vinyl,) they seem to be making a big comeback, so you need a great cassette deck to get the most out of your sound.

This Nakamichi 582Z Discrete 3 Head Cassette Deck has just been fully serviced with a new idler fitted, belts replaced, speed has been checked, heads fully aligned using a reference tape to Nakamichi specs and the tape path is clean etc.

This cassette deck has been well looked after and works extremely well. It sounds and runs as good today as it did when I purchased it years ago.

This “Rare as Hen's Teeth” cassette deck is still the ultimate in cassette performance and unlike its predecessor the 582, this has both Dolby B and Dolby C noise reduction.

It is a top-of-its-class, highly capable cassette deck and one of the better Nakamichi's with its classic transport and flexibility to calibrate with a built-in tone generator for different cassette formulations to extract superb recording quality.
