Further Information

Nec didn't make hifi component for very long but boy they have stuffed these full of Elna, Nichicon caps and the best resistors transistors at the time of manufacturing.  This a sweet amplifier with some nice grunt .

I took out the ridiculous toggle speaker binding posts and inserted ones that accept banana , spades and bare wires.

Please note I can delivery to Melbourne's suburbs the Mornington Peninsula , Phillip Island 🏝 and Greater Gippsland for toll and petrol money I can also send it at buyers expense . This amp with its fluro meters and  " Luxman " type sound make an excellent first amp moving magnet and coil phono options

I’ve got a 910 in my garage system. Same thing but with more power. Australian Hifi did a review on the 910 back in the day and said that NEC had made them as a loss leader and would lose money on them just to get into the market. They 910 was $1000 back in the early 90’s. Tue 910 was rated at 100 wpc but measured at 140.

I'm in two minds to just keep it lovely sounding amp with a lot more grunt than 60 watts . Big dampening factor tell me does the 910 have those ridiculous twist speaker posts . That's why I changed mine with some nice solid core copper wire to the posts . I should keep it but I need the room
