Hi Folks,

I'm wanting to start my drawer full of crossover components to begin fiddling with DIY crossovers!

Do you have unloved and abandoned inductors or capacitors that need a good home?

 

In particular I'm chasing big chunky ones!

8-14mH Inductors - prefer air cored > ferrite > laminated iron.

20-60uF Capacitors

 

Posting to either Brisbane, QLD AUS or to Queenstown, NZ.

Yes, I have some good XO components which are unloved - but they're smaller values than what you specified.

(I would make the point, though, that HP filters for tweeters generally use:

  • inductors which are a lot down from 8mH
  • and caps which are a lot less than 20uF.)

 

What I have are the following:

  • 2x Alpha Core, air-cored 12g ribbon inductors - 0.22mH
  • 2x CFAC, air-cored 14g ribbon inductors - 1.2mH
  • 1x CFAC, air-cored 14g ribbon inductor - 0.3mH
  • 4x Jantzen Superior Z-caps - 6.8uF/800v DC
  • 2x SCR film caps - 20uF/630v DC.
